Fox News uses picture of Tina Fey in Sarah Palin story
How good is comedian Tina Fey’s impersonation of Republican Sarah Palin?
This just in, Tina Fey is not running for president.
Good enough to fool the former Alaska governor’s network of choice, according to media watchdog Mediaite.com.
Sunday, Fox aired a clip about Palin’s potential entry into the 2012 presidential race but used a picture of Fey from a Saturday Night Live skit.
Fox News released the following statement: “This past Sunday during ‘America’s News Headquarters,’ a graphics error was made during a segment on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The producer has since been disciplined and an explanation and apology will be made in the same hour next Sunday. Fox News regrets the error.”
TheWeek.com lists the goof as its best video of the week.
Heads may roll if something similar happens again, Mediaite reports.
A Fox News memo states: “Effective immediately, there is zero tolerance for on-screen errors. Mistakes by any member of the show team that end up on air may result in immediate disciplinary action against those who played significant roles in the “mistake chain,” and those who supervise them. That may include warning letters to personnel files, suspensions, and other possible actions up to and including termination, and this will all obviously play a role in performance reviews.”
Humans make mistakes, fortunately mine aren’t televised.

Fox news is an alternative to the far left media machine, most people who are incensed by it are ideologues or academic types who mainly deal in rosy theories rather than a harsher reality, like one of the other posters said if you don’t like it, don’t watch it, (I think the far left wing-nuts really are enraged by the fact that Fox blows away the ratings of all other cable networks combined) A little reality is refreshing from time to time. I consider myself an independant.

Pailin miss the VIP treawtment afforded her during the last election campaign. Good reason to run again. At least she will get some VIP treatment, including private aircraft, bodyguard, the free clothing (her closet is empty again) etc for a while during the election campaign.

Observer – seriously? You stated: “the left controls virtually every media source other than Fox…” First, I disagree. However, even if you were correct, they might lean 51/49 toward the left. However, Fox (while calling themselves “news”) leans 99/1 toward the right. So far in fact that they’re not really a newschannel.
Tina Fey accomplished many things before you even heard of Sarah Palin. She owes her nothing. Palin actually owes Fey – if it wasn’t for her skits, many people in this country wouldn’t know anything about Palin.
Lastly, you pathetically state that Palin has accomplished more than Obama. IN WHAT WORLD? Seriously? Even if you are a Republican, a Governor of Alaska hasn’t accomplished squat compared to a President. You’re just flashing your ignorance blatantly now.

When Sarah Palin is president, you can compare her record, as president to Obama’s as president.
Right now, the only fair comparison of Sarah Palin vis a vis Obama is to compare both before their presidencies. So go ahead – show us what Mr. Community Organizer and “present” politician accomplished compared to governor Palin.
