How good is comedian Tina Fey’s impersonation of Republican Sarah Palin?

This just in, Tina Fey is not running for president.
Good enough to fool the former Alaska governor’s network of choice, according to media watchdog Mediaite.com.
Sunday, Fox aired a clip about Palin’s potential entry into the 2012 presidential race but used a picture of Fey from a Saturday Night Live skit.
Fox News released the following statement: “This past Sunday during ‘America’s News Headquarters,’ a graphics error was made during a segment on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The producer has since been disciplined and an explanation and apology will be made in the same hour next Sunday. Fox News regrets the error.”
TheWeek.com lists the goof as its best video of the week.
Heads may roll if something similar happens again, Mediaite reports.
A Fox News memo states: “Effective immediately, there is zero tolerance for on-screen errors. Mistakes by any member of the show team that end up on air may result in immediate disciplinary action against those who played significant roles in the “mistake chain,” and those who supervise them. That may include warning letters to personnel files, suspensions, and other possible actions up to and including termination, and this will all obviously play a role in performance reviews.”
Humans make mistakes, fortunately mine aren’t televised.

@mbsfca — Not only was her husband on the payroll of AK, he’s part of the pro-secession movement in AK, at which Palin gave a speech shortly before getting tapped for VP.
On a related note, the governor of TX is a possible candidate in 2012, and he also is pro-secession. I guess that what the GOP values these days. The true Americanism of disorder and disruption.

A note from me to FOX: a quote within a quote should get single quotation marks (’mistake chain’), not double. You just broke your own rule! Does ANYONE there have a high school diploma?

Fox shouldn’t be too hard on its staff for this. Although you can sometimes tell Fey and Palin apart, Fey absolutely nailed her physical appearance in the mock Biden debate on SNL. It is very difficult to tell them apart in those pictures.

It deserves goof-of-the-week… but was there similar coverage for everyone who mistakenly quoted Tina Fey in their coverage of Palin?

I feel pity for Joe’s ignorance and lack of ability to think. At the same time, I hate him just from reading these comments, because people like Joe are why other countries consider Americans stupid. Read a damn book!

If Fox is really going to have “zero tolerance for on-screen errors,” they are going to have to shut down permanently. Practically everything they air is a lie.
