How good is comedian Tina Fey’s impersonation of Republican Sarah Palin?

This just in, Tina Fey is not running for president.
Good enough to fool the former Alaska governor’s network of choice, according to media watchdog Mediaite.com.
Sunday, Fox aired a clip about Palin’s potential entry into the 2012 presidential race but used a picture of Fey from a Saturday Night Live skit.
Fox News released the following statement: “This past Sunday during ‘America’s News Headquarters,’ a graphics error was made during a segment on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The producer has since been disciplined and an explanation and apology will be made in the same hour next Sunday. Fox News regrets the error.”
TheWeek.com lists the goof as its best video of the week.
Heads may roll if something similar happens again, Mediaite reports.
A Fox News memo states: “Effective immediately, there is zero tolerance for on-screen errors. Mistakes by any member of the show team that end up on air may result in immediate disciplinary action against those who played significant roles in the “mistake chain,” and those who supervise them. That may include warning letters to personnel files, suspensions, and other possible actions up to and including termination, and this will all obviously play a role in performance reviews.”
Humans make mistakes, fortunately mine aren’t televised.

One thing about the left is I don’t think they would have had the stones nor the fortitude to found a country such as this that lets them stand up for their ideals or spew their hatred to all who disagree with them…(so I think that fact should be recognized) Leftists would still be biting their pillows back in England…

At least when Obama wacked Bin Laden he didn’t go out on a carrier and fly in and get out of a plane dressed in a flight jacket like he was just back from a flight over Iraq dropping bombs (doing hi 5′ves with himself) and having a Mission Accomplished banner brought out like he did acomplished something like drop the damn bombs himself. No! Obama quietly gave the men WHO DID DO THE JOB CREDIT FOR DOING IT WITHOUT FANFARE!

“Fox news is an alternative to the far left media machine, most people who are incensed by it are ideologues or academic types…”
You said it and are correct. Anyone with half a brain would be incensed by Faux News.

I find these comments hilarious! If Fox News was so offensive to people they could just tune in to something else. No need for animosity. That the left controls virtually every media source other than Fox and the rest of us would like something to watch, I find it so ironic that they are so threatened by what Fox chooses to run.
I do tune into other sources, thanks.
Observer – seriously? You stated: “the left controls virtually every media source other than Fox…” First, I disagree. However, even if you were correct, they might lean 51/49 toward the left. However, Fox (while calling themselves “news”) leans 99/1 toward the right. So far in fact that they’re not really a newschannel.
I think the MSM leans more left than 51/49, but not as left as Fox supporters would have you believe.
And the above comment is spot-on. If you think the media is leftist, wouldn’t you want an alternative that was not 99% right-wing? How is that “fair and balanced”? It’s just right-wing. It’s no better than left-leaning. We need media that is truly impartial. But those days are over.
When Fox hired Palin, they lost any semblance of “fair and balanced.” Yeah, I know–they never were.
And on a more serious note, neither Palin, nor Obama are qualified to run for President, Obama just got lucky and was a relative unknown (still is, actually)…….but that will CHANGE in 2012.
I’m curious. What current Republican contender can unseat Obama? Seriously. The field is weak. What was that Onion headline I read earlier? “Homemade anti-Obama sign currently the frontrunner for the GOP party nomination.” It’s funny as heck, but, sadly, it’s true.
I just read an article in Newsweek (oh, sorry, that’s a LEFTIST rag, isn’t it?) about how Republicans should be focusing on 2016, when they’d have a much better chance. ‘Cuz their 2012 field is just lightweights.
The truth is that anyone who wants to see Obama re-elected should hope that Palin is the republican candidate. Obama will be a shoo-in.
Know what I want? I want the economy to improve and get closer to Clinton-era levels. I want a President who is smart and surrounds him- or herself with smart people with experience and less party-line ideology, and who is willing to admit when he or she is wrong. I want clear separation of church and state, and a POTUS who supports this Constitutional right, not one who is a puppet of the Religious Reich and gets his or her history from the bible or David Barton. I want a POTUS who will nominate independent thinkers to the SCOTUS. I want an end to the war in the Middle East, and more focus on fixing the problems in the U.S. I want the government out of my bedroom. I want fiscal responsibility, too.
Yes, I know I’m dreaming.

Also, name one person – other than one of your precious republicans – who EVER yelled out at a president in the middle of his speech such a distasteful, angry and down right disrespectful comment. I’m referring to the infamous “You lie!” statement that was spewed forth by one of your brethren. Unlike your kind, there’s one thing the left is not, and that’s a hypocrit.

@Realist
Obama’s resume prior to his presidency:
Graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School (President of Harvard Law Review)
Civil Rights Attorney, Professor of Constitutional Law @ Chicago University Law School (12 yrs), three terms as an Ilinois State Senator, and a little community organizing on the side.
I’d say this beats Palin’s reality show(s).

Obama accomplishments: Harvard Grad, created more jobs in three years then Bush did in eight, lawyer, created Healthcare for the poor, caught Osma Bin Laden and FYI something neither Bush nor Clinton(who I voted for) has done and is about to bring the troops home.
If Obama has did so much for creating jobs, Why is the economy so bad ! And now Obama is running to the Clintons for help on how to solve the economy ?!?! If I were the Clintons, I wouldn’t tell him a GD thang !!!! The way that him and the democrats treated Hillary doing the primarys ! The Clintons should tell Obama to kiss their white asses !!

@Exactly, please look up ideologue in the dictionary, it refers to zealotry, Take off your blinders, I voted for Bill Clinton twice, the left’s arguments are losing weight with undecided voters because of your name calling refusal to listen to anyone’s opinions but your own, I must admit the right appears more open to change and compromis at the present moment…
