Stodgy Brits try to block Girls Gone Wild filming

Nobility yes, “nubility” no.

Research concludes paid girlfriends love cheap caps and T-shirts.

Girls Gone Wild researchers conclude paid girlfriends love cheap caps and T-shirts.

That’s the word out of unjolly old England, which is trying to block the filming of Girls Gone Wild events on the once-important island.

According to an article in The Telegraph, the stodgy fellows who run the area of Newcastle, a town that parties so hard they named a famous beer after it, are asking the “Home Office” (not a tax deduction, but the U.K.’s version of the Department of Homeland Security) to ban the filming of nubile wenches nationwide.

They’ve clearly got their crumpets in a wad. Here’s the text from a motion they’ve concocted:

“This House is deeply concerned that U.S. pornography production company Mantra Films Inc. is filming Girls Gone Wild in the U.K., which approaches young women, many of them intoxicated, in public places, and encourages them to expose their breasts, simulate sex acts and have sex on camera in exchange for Girls Gone Wild merchandise.”

A curious reaction for a country that served as the cradle of capitalism.

A spokesman for the Girls Gone Wild tour said public toplessness is a “really fun celebration of freedom and youthful expression.”

Here’s to all who lift a pint — and shirt — for freedom.

Granted, Kate Middleton is pretty hot, but don’t most Brit women have nasty teeth like the men? Not that GGW is concerned with dental hygiene (something they share with the Brits, apparently), but, for me, when a naked, pretty girl smiles at me (not that THAT happens often) the appeal is lost when the front incisors are missing and all the rest are crooked. Might as well save on travel costs, go find a rural county in Alabama, and do GGW: Ladies of Meth.

Roekest – Sure, Kate Middleton’s hot… if you can ignore her Adam’s Apple…

You know absolutely nothing about British television. I should imagine the authorities in the UK know just who runs this show and are aware of how often he’s had legal trouble. Why import criminals? Here in England we have plenty of our own.

I’m no prude but why is the AJC allowing one of their bloggers to protray a porn producing company like GGW as a good thing? This outfit has a history of using women for profit. The owner has been successfully sued by women for using videos of them without permission. George Mathis, unless you’re totally ignorant, these guys video a lot more than women showing their ta-tas. This posting has no place in a mainstream newspaper like the AJC. Maybe TMZ is hiring.

@George If it upsets you so then dont read it! Dont know what you think the AJC is, it is a newspaper and this is news because, while this may not be something that appeals to the masses, it is a free enterprise system (not that the US Govt would have you to believe) and if there was no market for it they wouldn’t be doing it. I dont like seeing the repotrs about “Idol” that are ALL OVER this paper so I dont read them. Something made you look and read the article so just “turn the page” that are and move on.

“Stodgy Brits”, “once-important island”?

Sounds like it’s Mr. Mathis whose crumpets are in a wad.

Britain, unlike the United States, has and appreciation for something cerebral and something with social value in their television programming. Girls Gone Wild is the pinnacle of America’s declaration
this all its good ideas are behind it.
