U.S. official: Porn found in bin Laden compound

The U.S. military found a large cache of pornography in the hideout of Osama bin Laden, Reuters is reporting.
An unnamed U.S. official said the porn is an extensive collection of “modern, electronically recorded video.”
I’m not sure what they mean by “electronically recorded,” since I don’t know of a way to record video with some form of electronics. I think they mean the video was stored digitally.
It is not known if bin Laden himself watched the videos, or how the videos were obtained. The compound in Pakistan had no Internet connection, but did include TVs and video playback devices.
Three officials said it is “not uncommon” for Islamic militants to have porn collections.

Par for the course. Just like most religious fanatics (Christian, Muslim, doesn’t matter … they all do it), they are hypocrites and don’t practice what they preach. The Saudi Royals are some of the worse. At home they pretend to be all pious as “Keepers of The Faith” & “Defenders of All Islam”, but the moment they land in the US or Western Europe … off with the robes & on with the designer suits, out comes the cognac & high price call girls. At least Charlie Sheen is honest about his vices.

We are all humans under it all, driven by basic human needs. The fact that so many religions view physical pleasure shared between consenting adults as something evil, is what makes the porn industry a mult-billion dollar cross-cultural business. No surprises here.

Zach, the Seals more than likely did not know what was on the HD’s and other drives there took. They didn’t have time to look at the data on the drives they were just taking anything they thought might provide intelligence. The porn would have been discovered after the intelligence groups were able to look at the drives. Also, bringing porn back into the country in this case would have been allowed since it is not for personal use or distribution but for gathering information about Bin Laden.

I also heard that the videos were of naked camels and furthermore, the prettiest ones were reserved for bin Laden.
