A U.S. Postal Service worker dropped off an unexpected package at a Portland home, according to KATU TV.

Do not look in the bushes.
Oregonian Don Derfler was waiting for a babysitter to arrive when he saw his mailman pull down his pants and drop a nasty in his neighbor’s bushes.
Derfler took pictures of the mailman, who was not named, and even photographed what the carrier left behind.
“To come on to our property and to defecate – it’s just wrong,” said Derfler.
KATU points out there is a public park with porta potties and a store with a public bathroom within two blocks of the bush the mailman used as a toilet.
The mailman was placed on unpaid leave and is embarrassed, according to co-workers.
The TV station took Derfler’s pictures to USPS authorities.
I don’t have an explanation for this individual,” said Ron Anderson, with the U.S. Postal Service.
Though postal workers are unionized, I suspect the mailman will still get fired. Maybe he can get a gig with UPS in Atlanta; he’s got the “Brown Delivers” thing down pat.

You can’t gauge a whole organization’s performance on the bad judgement of one individual employee. It’s not like the U.S. Postal Service loses the taxpayers billions of dollars each year.
Oh wait!

My neighbors dog does the same thing in my yard. So I think it’s OK for the mail carrier to do it, too. Just sniff around for the right places and go for it.

If this man had IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) it is NOT his fault and he should not be punished. I’m sure he’s embarrased enough. I really feel for him. IBS is a condition where sometimes the urge hits you and you are powerless to control it. Have some compassion for this man. Even if he didn’t have IBS, haven’t you ever had an accident? Everyone has times in their lives when this occurs, and the options are limited in how to handle it within seconds.

IBS is not a disability, I don’t care if it interferes with your way of life, it is not an excuse to crap in someone’s yard while doing your job. Diet and medicine can control IBS, and maybe a person with IBS should not be a carrier, they can be reassigned to the office where this person would likely be caught crapping in a mail cart. I think this guy just doesn’t like to be inconvenienced and interrupted with the urge to poo.

I have had to drop trowel in some places that I would have preferred a little more privacy. If Mr. Postman had to deliver such a package due to rumbling bowels, that would be understandable. Not pleasant to witness, but understandable. If he has some kind of, pardon me here, running beef with the owner of the bushes, that would be a problem. A quick consistency check of the evidence would provide somewhat of a clue to this, so called, unexpected package.

UPS? Their new slogan: “What can Brown Do-Do For you?”
