What’s up with the Samsung Galaxy S III commercial where the husband is leaving for a business trip and his wife touches her phone to his phone and gives him a dirty video to watch?

@becky….since when is keeping the sex life fun a “need”. I’m sure you don’t feel the “need”. I’m sure your husband doesn’t feel the “need”. but I bet you anything he’d “like” to…and I’m sure your “if you don’t like what you’re getting now then just leave and find someone else” attitude makes him too scared to tell you.
Try this….ask him if he’d ever like to make a video with you…or be the photographer of you doing a playboy like spread. Let him know that there is no way you’re signing up for it. But tell him you’d really like him to be honest with you and tell you if that would turn him on. When he says yes…watch the disappointment in his eyes when he realizes you were just really asking out of curiosity and there’s not shot of it happening….and if he says no…..well then take a good look at him because that’s what he looks like when he’s lying.

I agree there is a lot of this “stuff” on the Internet, but that does not mean I have to like it. So I guess that makes me a “prude” to some… And I know the Wafle House guy was not married to the woman involved. But that is how videos can get used for “bad” purposes. Why put something that personal out there, that could possibly be seen by whole world? But a lot of things go on in the world that I do not understand or agree with… Too bad.

@PB….all I’m saying is that for as much of it that is out there…that is the tip of the iceberg of the stuff that ISN’T out there. And I don’t think you’re a prude for not liking it, but I don’t think others are “dirty” for liking it. If it’s not your thing because you have self body image issues or you don’t like the visual aesthetic of people being sexual…that’s not prudish to me. What’s prudish to me is when people actually do like the look and feel of things but they can’t reconcile that and won’t indulge in them just because only “dirty” people do that kind of stuff.

Oh we were concerned about the sexiness of the ad or that kids might see it.
What about the Liquid Drano one where the 2 guys show up to clean her drain (then the oh yeah from Barry White). Sure that was the clog in the sink she was thinking about with them standing behind her.

@who knows and other have made some good points. As a woman who has traveled almost exclusively with men on long overseas trips, I can assure you that your mate behaves pretty badly at times on the road. Like with Vegas, what happens on the road stays on the road.
I can count only a few men, and those were usualy gay men, that didn’t indulge in one way or another, especially anywhere in Asia (like Thailand, Hong Kong and Malaysia), and also Brazil. When trying to win business from a foreign client, you would likely be very surprised.
Maybe a video reminder of what they have at home is not a terrible idea!

I hate to tell you guys this, but there are TONS of websites dedicated to sharing personal videos and pics made with a onetime girlfriend or wife. Google the appropriate words, and then think if you want your video seen in perpetuity….

I think it is a very cute commercial. And most kids won’t get it – so who cares if it’s on during shows where they’d see it?

People have always used technology for sex. When the Xerox first appeared they mostly used it to xerox pictures of their behinds. Remember? They’d have to sprawl athwart the damn thing, but they got that picure. Ditto fax machines. Then bathroom cams. The employees were upset about 8% salary reductions…How many of you would be okay with that? What I want to know is, were management salaries subject to the same wage reductions? How many people have had minimum cost of living raises the last 5 years? Do you know if management and executive salaries were also as constrained? We should be glad for our jobs though and just take it, right? Its a “business decision”. That working the same job with more tesponsibility for less pay. And to put it in perspective, do the math on unemployment money and see if YOU can pay your bills on that..then consider what they were asking those employees to accept.

…you missed the part about getting 25% of the company stock in exchange for the 8% reduction now, which meant sharing in any profits the company may have made – but leave it to the moochers to want to NOT HAVE A JOB rather than have to work for a potentially bigger payday via the 25% ownership of the company…

You are supposed to hold stock and let it the value increase with time..cash out early amd you are taxed cap gains, right? Hiw does that feed a family NOW? Stock is graet if you are an exec who can live off half your take home…not gonna work for employees at the bottom. And who APPROVRD the contract? Management. I get that unions don’t always do the best thing for employees and the business…but then don’t sign the agreement in the first place!

…the 25% company ownership would provide “bonus” money to the employees which IS payable to the employees at the end of the year IF the company makes money – my bad for saying “stock” when I should have said “ownership in the company” (no stock, jsut ownership), but I thought you might understand what I was meaning, which, obviously, you did not – thanks for pointing out that error so that I could correct it…

I see nothing wrong with pictures and videos. My friend has an app on his iphone that he says hides pics and videos that you don’t want access to behind a password. Don’t ask me what it is because I don’t know. I don’t send anything that would embarrass my mama but he does like sexy pics in undies and when I’m feeling sexy I’ll send him one as a surprise. He’s taken a video of us but no one would know who it is based on the angle. He likes to watch it when we’re apart. I say go for it.

This is why much of the world thinks we are crazy…..we have no problem with watching (and letting our kids be exposed to) endless violence…..but we are so prudish about ANYTHING sexual. Sex is a natural and good part of life people….get over your hangups!!
