Falling for fall: We’re crazy for pumpkin products!

My 11-year-old and I have gone crazy for pumpkin products this fall. Here are all the pumpkin products and recipes we are trying and what we think:

Yoplait Pumpkin Pie yogurt — This is very tasty and I believe a 2 on Weight Watchers.

Philadelphia Pumpkin cream cheese — Rose said it tasted like the icing we put on our pumpkin cake last year. It is quite yummy but I haven’t looked up the points yet.

Dryer’s Low-fat Pumpkin ice cream (I am pretty sure this sells as Edy’s in Atlanta) — I thought this would be better. It needs some graham crust or vanilla wafter chunks in it.

Eggo Pumpkin waffles (frozen) – Very yummy and smells good in the toaster.

Pumpkin coffee lattes (Starbuck’s Via and a recipe from Hungry Girl that’s only a 2 on Weight Watchers.) – I actually liked the the Via better but it’s more expensive per coffee than the Hungry Girl recipe.

Pumpkin-shaped Kraft Macaroni and Cheese — We haven’t had yet but the kids were excited to see the package.

Pumpkin pancakes made from scratch — We’ve already made this Martha Stewart recipe multiple times this fall. It is so yummy and the kids love it. It is wonderful with bacon on a school night for dinner.

Pumpkin cookie bars  (made form a mix) — We haven’t made them yet.

Pumpkin muffins from scratch  – I’m not sure which recipe I made last year but it was tasty.

Pumpkin French toast – I didn’t love this recipe. It was mushy in the middle.

Have you been sucked into the pumpkin-product craze? Do you think there are more pumpkin products out there than there used to be? Have you tried the pumpkin creamers for coffee? How is that? What are your favorite pumpkin products?

Surprisingly I’ve seen every product TWG mention in use at bachlorette parties….save the pumpkin shape.

@FCM, just change one letter of the name brand, for example, Bitty Cracker.

What a torrid topic, for so many posts to be filtered!

We love pumpkin flavors, so maybe we will try some of these. Hubs made a pumpkin ale that is awesome. I just saw a commercial for Halloween Funfetti (which I love – my favorite mix cake), so we will probably make a batch or 2 of those.

I got gas at QT this morning, and that place was jumping! They had some tempting pumpkin treats, too. I just never go in.

I love all things pumpkin…we love pumpkin bread and muffins. Also the pumpkin coffee creamer is really good- much cheaper than Starbucks!

One 5K race tomorrow morning will burn the calories of one piece of pumpkin pie. Food for thought.

The thing I hate this time of year is seeing how people can WASTE food on purpose, for their own entertainment. I usually buy one reasonably sized pumpkin, and we eat all of it.

If people only bought pumpkins they would be eating, what would the farms/stores do with all the extra pumpkins grown each year…throw them away? Now that might be wasteful.

Just cooked my first pumpkin pie of the season requested by my son. Love the smell in the house!
