What do dads really want for Father’s Day?

I think a lot of moms just want time to themselves for Mother’s Day but I’m not sure what dads really want for Father’s Day.  Crazy sex?? Poker night?? Favorite pie?? New swim suit? I don’t know!

So please dads that visit our site tell us what to buy or do for our husbands for Father’s Day!

Michael has given me one suggestion. He wants some new golf/short sleeve shirts because he’s wearing them to work some this summer.

So the kids and I picked him up a bunch of shirts in new colors on sale, some new flip-flops, a new gym bag that will hold his basketball ball, and a new bacon plate for the microwave. (The other one caught on fire.)

I don’t know – what else should we get??

We’re going to spend a day on a lake before Father’s Day and probably just swim and BBQ on Father’s Day itself (plus church).

What do you think Dads really want for Father’s Day?

Honestly I just want a day to relax and spend time with my kids and wife. I don’t need any gifts or fancy plans – those always seem to make the day more stressful and less enjoyable than it should be. This year, after church on Sunday morning, we are packing up the kids and a picnic and spending the day at Amicalola Falls. The kids can run around and my wife and I can walk and enjoy the scenery and each others company. That’s really all I need.

All kidding aside, that’s the truth isn’t it? We (men) don’t care. We don’t need a gift, although it IS fun poking fun at folks like MA lol.

We men are really easy. Whatever you do Theresa will be fine. He’ll be happy.

My wife is taking me to Ocho Rios , Jamaica for the week. Lots of R & R and “naps” in the afternoon & at night. We’ve earned it.

The best gift any father can have is love from his children. According to Rick Young his latest single “Good Father” is a culmination of pain and hurt that took more than a year to fully express, “Good Father talks of a relationship gone terribly wrong. Despite trying their best two people who were once friends and lovers are now The only love left is that of a father to his children”. In the song “Good Father”, Rick Young expresses to his ex-lover that while they may not be together any more he is still a good father to his children. According to Rick Young, “There are many men out there who have had their roles as fathers hijacked by one situation or another, I want to remind them that no matter the situation, your existence as a father is to be the best version of you that you can muster in the lives of your children”. “In these recessionary times, these hard times, lots of relationships are suffering , lets be the best people we can be for our families, ourselves and especially our children”

1) Want to go to the strip with the wife and have her be cool like that, even give the dancers some of her own money, then get my own lap dance at home :)

2) Excellent, hardcore sex with anything I want more or less

3) Go out to eat at a fairly good restaraunt

4) Start a tickle fight with me

5) Hear her use profanity and talk about she’d kick another woman’s as$ if she tried to make a move on me

6) Remind me why she married me!

…other cool stuff like that which unfortunately are rare to find in a woman.

Notice how I did not mention anything about material gifts. Although some Amazon.com & eBay gift certifcates wouldn’t exactly be refused. :P

Crazy Sex? Yes.
Tools/Hobbie stuff? Yes, but make sure you know exactly what he wants
Clothes? Yes. Dad almost always needs clothes, and usually his wife has better taste than he does.

Seriously, Dad rarely gets more than a card anyway.

I want nothing material. All I want is for my children and grandchildren to continue to be good Christians and good citizens.

Mothers carry the children for nine months, then have to take care of them until they are grown. I can see the reasoning for Mother’s Day, but not for Father’s Day. Actually, Father’s Day came nine months prior to the birth of each child.
