The New Jersey tanning mom accused of taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth thought Kristen Wiig’s SNL impression her was very funny.
The Los Angeles Times reports:
“The whole thing was hysterical,” Krentcil told the New York Post on Sunday. “It was well done…”
Krentcil pleaded not guilty last week to a child-endangerment charge that she allegedly placed her 5-year-old daughter in a tanning bed. She acknowledges a penchant for tanning, but says she would never allow her daughter to use a fake bake, and describes the charge and uproar as a witch hunt. (Krentcil says her daughter got sunburned the old fashioned way — by being in the sun for too long.) The media, meanwhile, have become somewhat obsessed with Krentcil and her burnished brown hue.”
“In the “Saturday Night Live” skit, Wiig arrives onstage as Krentcil, followed by a swirl of smoke. At several points, she stops to drink some water because she’s parched from the inside out. The segment wraps up with Wiig putting a piece of white bread between her thighs for a second — and then retrieving a charred piece of toast.”

I had few to no comments on the original incident; I don’t need to watch a parody. It must have been a boring, i.e. good, weekend if this is the only topic worthy of a blog post!

Tanning beds always remind me of my high school basketball coach. He paid for us to go tan because he said we played better if we looked good and our legs should be tan when we were on the court. The tanning bed was at an off-campus gym where we sometimes worked out on weekends.
One time we were there on a Sunday and no one was really there and he walked into the indoor pool area and dropped his towel and exposed himself to me. He seemed aroused, but I didn’t really know wanything about that at the time. He acted like it was an accident, but now I kind of wonder.

Really? This is what we do in America these days? Single out people for ridicule and make a mockery out of them on every single media outlet? Who cares what this woman does to her skin? Who cares that her kid got a sunburn… lots of them do. But WHY is this national news? Why is the AJC repeating every breathless report about this sad and sick woman? Grow up America.
There… rant done.

SNL needs to do skit of the Penny Diveli (the self proclaimed “chef” that competed against real chefs on Chopped All-Stars last night)…..they could have blast with that ladies ego and her talking down to the judges. If they do please somebody post the link!!
This skit is hillarious!
@ Good Lord People it is called satire. God must have sense humor, have you seen what His people do?

Sorry, but tanning mom was much darker. They could have had a brown skin black woman with a blond wig portray her. Mary J. Blige would have been perfect for that role
I'm just saying...

SNL rules for now. Its gonna suck when the “veterans” have to leave, unless Jay Pharoah can get more airtime. That’s your next Eddie Murphy there.. Two thumbs up for poking fun at the tanning lady.

Folks, this woman doesn’t need more attention. Add her to the list: Octomom, Kate plus 8, Michelle Rhee, etc.

I thought the sketch was pretty funny (then again I don’t get out much). Sure as heck beats talking about politics. You don’t like the topic, feel free to go find another blog.
@Grace- agreed, would have made it even funnier
