Who is People’s Sexiest Man Alive of the last 25 years?
This topic has absolutely nothing to do with motherhood other than maybe to prove that we’re not numb and dead just because we had children. I thought it would be fun to look back through People Magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive and talk about our favorite ones. (It’s Fun Friday Ya’ll!)
Ryan Reynolds was named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive this week. I’m all on board with that call. We loved him in “Two Guys and Girl and Pizza Place” in 1998 (not the show just him) and also loved him in “Van Wilder” in 2002. He was super cute in “The Proposal.” Here is a link to all his work. Jon Hamm – I’m totally into! His longtime girlfriend is the sister of Michael’s friend and everyone says what a spectacularly nice guy he is!
Kellan Lutz – Really young and I have no idea who he is.
Drake – Have heard of him and think he’s OK.
Matthew Morrison – I think he’s very cute. Love him on “Glee.”
Jon Bon Jovi – Didn’t like him growing up but ever since he cut his hair I totally think he’s hot.
Joe Manganiello – He’s from “True Blood.” He’s OK.
Robert Downey Jr. – Can’t decide on him.
Jesse Williams – No idea.
Justin Timberlake – I think he’s very talented (singer, actor, comedian) but I’m not that into him.
Vin Diesel – OK.
Jake Gyllenhaal – I am totally in. I am loving his naked ads with Anne Hathaway! I want to see the movie just to see him naked. His eyes and beard are doing it for me. Look at the Entertainment Weekly cover. I will be hiding it under my pillow at night!

I thought Joe Jonas was on this list but he isn’t. He’s on the sexy at any age list. I have to say I am grateful he is 21 because I do think he is soo hot. I love it when he wears his glasses. I feel bad watching the show with my Rosie thinking impure thoughts about a Jonas.

I love George Clooney and actually like his photo better from 2006 than in 1997. He’s aged that well. I think Brad Pitt looks awful in both photos even though in general I think he’s good looking. The one that just makes my heart flutter is John F. Kennedy Jr. I once interviewed for a job at “George” magazine and was terrified of meeting him. I met with the editor in chief instead of him. Kind of a bummer but she was much easier to talk with.

Am I reading too much into the statement or is “I will be hiding it under my pillow at night” just Momania code for putting it in the spank bank and waiting to have some quality alone time? JOD – ever seen Diary of a Mad Black Woman? It’s a Tyler Perry movie. Shemar Moore is in that and he is SO sexy. I LOVE that movie….
I also think Tyler Perry is sexy, but mostly for how he gives to those less fortunate. Like when all that boyscout camping equipment was stolen from Clairemont Baptist church a month or two ago, he spent $10,000 on all new equipment for them. THAT to me is sexy.

@Tiger -LOVE “spank bank”! My hubby is currently at home, ahem, “donating a specimen” to take to the urologist in order to be sure he’s firing blanks after the vasectomy. He called me to let me know he wished a) that I was there (awww how sweet) and b) that he was having difficulty because of the fact that it had to go in a cup to be taken somewhere (there’s your TMI folks for fun Friday!). If he calls again, I’ll tell him to pull something from his spank bank!

Of course, my husband ranks right up at the top of the list, the asst. principal of the kids school, most all firemen (to me) are sexy..
BUT my all time favotite hottie is a tie between Alan Jackson and Tom Selleck..

So am I right though? Is “hiding it under my pillow” just another euphemism for “a night in with the girls”, or “letting your fingers do the walking”, or “fingerpainting”, or “hitchhiking south”, or “getting to know yourself”, or “buttering the bean”, or “paddling the canoe”, or “dialing the rotary phone”, or “buttering the whisker biscuit”, or “rolling the dough”, or “the two finger taco tango”, or “polishing the pearl”, or “riding the unicycle”, or “muffin buffin”…….I’m just curious!!!!

Alexander Skarsgard and Ryan Kwanten are way hotter than the werewolf from True Blood. Hugh Jackman or Johnny Depp are my all time. I do love David Tennant, who was the previous Dr. Who. David Beckham is great to look at but he shouldn’t talk, just play soccer with no shirt.

@JJ – I haven’t seen it, but I will now :o) Actually, I used to boycott Tyler Perry because everything has his name on it, which I thought was kind of ostentatious. But after seeing him on Oprah (oops – did I admit that?!) and his gift to the Boy Scouts, I think I have to reconsider my stance (and I get to see Shemar!)…
@Tiger/Kate – I actually almost spit out my Coke! So funny!
@Becky – Tom Selleck has got to be on my lifetime list. I remember watching Magnum PI with my dad growing up. Or maybe it was with my mom? :o) He’s the only guy I can think of who STILL looks great with a mustache!

Did you forget LL Cool J or did I just miss him? THAT is one beautiful brother. As for the list, JFK, Jr., DENZEL (Praise the Lord), George Clooney do it for me. The sexiest OLD men are Gene Hackman (the Replacements…Lord, the smile did me in in that movie!) and Sean Connery. *fans myself*

I’ve always loved John Malcovitch, Ralph Fiennes and Alan Rickman. I don’t typically like “pretty boys.” Although I do admit that I fell in lust with Brad Pitt during “Interview with the Vampire.” And yes, JFK, Jr. was hot. I wasn’t a fan of Hugh Jackman until I found out he could sing. I saw the dvd of London’s West End production of “Oklahoma” with HJ as Curly. WOW!! He is incredibly talented!

Okay ladies -”Unstoppable” is actually a decent movie, and it’s really easy to watch thanks to Chris Pine and Denzel Washington -mmmmm -a hottie two-fer! For you guys -plenty of testosterone, action and Rosario Dawson who appears to me to be pretty easy on the eyes as well.
