Theresa…I completely agree with DB and appreciate the time it takes for you to keep this blog going.

Even when the topic is NOT interesting to me, I realize that others may be interested and that it will show by the end of the day ( how many posts are written).

I do not need to hop on and say,” DUMB topic…I am outta here….” Who cares?

So, thanks for all you do and have a wonderful weekend EVERYONE!

DB, I will be ready for something besides leftovers this week, when I meet you! It will take us nearly all weekend to get through what we have!

That article in Time was posted as a link on a blog earlier this week. I printed it out, it was an amazing article and worth a blog on it’s own.

DB….you did it again! I love your entries. After I read it I was like, why didn’t I say thank you too.

Theresa, and all the forum denizens: I hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. And Theresa, thank you for providing a fun place for us to play, rant, and share with othr moms! Thinking up topics for us all to chew on every day seems easy — but as I noticed when you asked for ideas a few months back, it took me quite a while just to come up with six. I can’t imagine doing it week after week!

Hey guys — Happy Thanksgiving — We made the one 4 and had the kids think about what they were Thankful for . It was good for them to focus on the purpose of the holiday. At Mimi’s house they played with every toy in the house, which is a bunch, and ran from room to room — upstairs toy room and family room. The adults sort of nodded off.

Ran the ATL 1/2 marathon this morning…..thanks to all the volunteers who made it a great event! Hope every one has a great turkey day!!

Here is my suggestion for the kids…..LET THEM JUST HAVE SOME FREE TIME TO PLAY!!!!! Why does Thanksgiving time have to be scheduled and organized?!?!?!?! There is a great article in Time magazine this week about helicopter parents. I love you Theresa, but you need to read this article!

I told my folks (JOKINGLY) that I was leaving the kids with them for another night. I took myself to a movie (The Blindside was sold out), to the bookstore, and to dinner and enjoyed it. My Mom asked if I was doing the BF sales, if I had said yes she might have kept them. The kids loved the idea, they are having so much fun with Grandma–she is arts and crafts galore, and has a bigger kitchen than I so they get to help cook.

Our weekend activities will include Planet 51 and getting the Christmas decorations up.

Rose will so enjoy the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. I have such fond childhood memories of going to Radio City Music Hall to see the Christmas show. It was so long ago that there was a movie included in the price.

This is the first time that we’re not going to the show. Have been to it every time it passed thru Atlanta. We have taken my son when he was younger, to both, the show here in Atlanta, and in NYC. The years that we spend Christmas here, we also go see, “A Christmas Carol,” at the Alliance Theatre. I love holiday traditions, old and new.

We made the Thankful 4 today. Rose drew it and cut it out and then took dictation from each family member of what we are thankful for. We’re taking it to my mom’s tomorrow. It turned out very cute. I’m going to print out Thanksgiving trivia from the site to also take.

Grandma is taking Rose and my niece to the Rockettes show on Friday. We were thinking about taking Walsh to the Ga. Tech basketball game. Tix are pretty cheap $20 — may be a good idea for families wanting to get out.

Just home from The Blind Side at MOG…theater was full and we enjoyed it.
