I am having a hard time getting a good nights sleep because my husband snores, wiggles and elbows me while he is sleeping. We have a queen size bed and have been married over 6 years and we have 2 children that do not sleep with us. We also don't have a TV in our bedroom. I sleep with a fan on and that helps block out the snoring sounds my husband makes but for some reason he always wiggles his way over to my side of the bed leaving me with only 1/4 of our queen size bed. I'm so desperate to get a kind size bed so that I can sleep soundly. Lack of sleep is ruining my quality of life and I would so love to be able to sleep the whole night without having to push him over to his side or kick his leg over. Hopefully us getting a king size bed will solve that problem

Great post. I find the difficulties and choices made by couples in their sleeping habits to be fascinating. I’d love to read more on this topic.

Here’s a recent article I particularly enjoyed on couples’ sleeping arrangements: http://burisonthecouch.wordpress.com/2009/11/24/zzzzzzzz/

I’d love to see more like it. Thanks!

My husband and i always joke about this topic because of my difficulty sleeping. I have always had trouble falling asleep and now being on medication it makes it even more difficult. Any movement or sound wakes me and on average thats 4-5 times a night. I can not remember the last time i got deep sleep. My husband and i also have a different prefrence for temp. I like the room chilly and he likes it hot . lol we are opposite in everyway. I just wonder what it says about us though if we sleep in different beds. I dont love him any less, we just sleep so differently that i think sleeping together has negavtive affects, which in turn could affect our relationship. So which is better, i wonder?
