I don't take out an ad in the school paper when one of my children comes down with that....and its cellular structure changes constantly!!! This Swine Flu has a psychological component that is far more dangerous than the actual virus. As with Y2K and every "predicted" second coming of Christ.....its a bit subjective, don't ya think? OK…..the REGULAR flu kills thousands upon thousands every year….in our own country. I abhor lying....I put up with other shortcomings ( and am certainly not perfect myself) but isn't this kind of like: If no one fesses up to it and we all stick out heads in the sand then maybe no one will notice that there really is a problem? Kinda like the banks who ****had no idea they were taking on credit risks**** or public officials who ....deny they were involved in a particular activity....only to be proven wrong. This is a pattern and one I do not want to represent to my children. They know I fail in lots of areas but I do not lie ( surprise parties are an exception....LOL). If you KNEW that a child at your school had the swine flu and the parents just kept the student home and actually took him to the doctor ( for treatment) but did not tell anyone...would you not be upset? I know many are without religious convictions but for me, it boils down to ...could I actually look God in the face and say...."I am sure that you understand, I had to tell that little white lie...." Just me and I realize that not everyone else shares my opinion. My two have never had any of the above ailments…probably just luck.

I had an office job at the time, worked that morning, I even stopped by the office on my way home. The worst part by far was the "local" injection to numb the area. Of course we KNEW that we would not want kids...now ~13 years later we both want kids, so I need to start looking into reversals. I was at my wits end, nothing I was using seemed to work. My husband is from Louisiana and they always have some "back wood" method of handling things! He suggested putting BLEACH!! of all things in my sons head, said it would kill it!! I'm sure! It probably would have burned his scalp off! The pharmacist suggested Lotrmin, and that seemed to work. I too was very embarrassed, and thought for sure someone was going to think we were neglecting our child. I did inform his teacher, as well as his after school provider. We constantly changed the linens on their bed, and instead of washing his hair every other day, now wash it everyday. We've been ringworm free for about a year now, but I still check him periodically. His had gotten so bad, the barber refused to cut his hair! It was just a mess!!
