Text message cheating?

A reader wrote in to ask whether or not inappropriate texts can be considered cheating.  She found her live-in boyfriend’s text messages to another woman.  (Ok, when I say found, I actually mean snooped!) He insisted that they have never hooked up but admitted to a few dirty text messages.

Do you think that sending texts to people who are not your significant other automatically classifies as cheating?  What if the nature of the text messages is harmless and simple flirting?

Would it bother you if you discovered that the person you are dating had a habit of sending texts to women from his past?  Would you ask them to stop or dump them?

What is the appeal of sending dirty texts to people you aren’t even dating?

It’s road tirp time!!!!
Much as I love the panhandle – Destin, fort walton, orange beach and any other beach inbetween, I hate driving there! all those back country roads with no gas station along the way and gps keep getting kick off, and losing phone signal.

Cel – I’ve spoken to her before. But I’m not her manager and we are friends. And she’s doing the singing with the earplugs IN so alot of times she does not realize she’s getting loud.

She’s piped down now, for awhile anyway!

MsAtl ~ I’m in tears laughing at your crazy behind. Your doctor had to give you a directive on not playing…tihat was too funny! Yousa diehard. I like…we need to play. I can already see myself splattered on the pavement running to make a killer shot, rubbing my hands and knees as I get up ready for me….game on!!!!

Wow, I actually pictured saw myself playingng handball behind P.S. 82.

Kimmie – Gotcha.

Shoot, sometimes I break out humming. One day, my coworkers were trying to get my attention, but I was jamming so, that I couldn’t hear any of them calling. Of course they all laughed. No one was irritated :)

Leggs- Don’t play! I was a diehard handball player growing up. We played on the side of Katz Pharmacy on Marcy Avenue, lol. He sure did have to tell me to stop. I was out there belly and all, slamming that ball.
I am putting handball on my list for this year. Matter of fact, I think we bloggers need to have an old school day with handball, jacks, double dutch, hula hoops, etc. We may be sore for a few days after, but it will be worth it.

“On the drive to the hotel Monday morning, he punched his wife in the face during an argument in which he accused her of cheating on him, police told the newspaper.” – And, there are many people who go through with the wedding only to beat the person up shortly after getting married. How one can hide all that venom for another and not be picked up is skills too. The entire thing is shameful. But, I did picture Anna (Annie) Mae Bullock while reading the story.

Did anyone watch the Haves and the Have nots?

Also, I watched Oprah’s special with Rhianna. I was impressed. She interviewed a lot more sound than I thought she would.

The story is by no means funny, but did they have to put this in?

While assaulting his wife, Stevens “ultimately pulled out all of her (hair) extensions,” which officers later found on the floor and on a night stand, police said.

Leggs – I know of 2 cases of this thru foks close to me. One groom started acting a azz at the reception, the other waited until the honeymoon. :(

Celisea ~ I forgot about that show. I was so hurt when she said in front of her mother that her mother was dead (reminded me of Imiation of Life). I laughed when he told her to get out the next morning and she really thought she was going to plot to be by his side thinking he wanted her…dumb cluck.

Not surprised the ball is not in her court and she’s gonna bleed him dry and make his life hell. Nevertheless, his wife, played like she’s Kathy Bates, isn’t dumb. She’s watching. Now, is that the dude from Dukes of Hazzard???

Leggs – I could have smacked her little fast tail!! The son is a dweeb. The black neighbor is a trip (the jury still out on her). Candace ain’t gonna go easily though. She’s gonna cause trouble. The daddy, old skeezer deserves though what he’s getting for cheating…

If she had been she wouldn’t have worn that hideous red blouse or that ugly chatreaus (sp) dinner gown!!

Single – I THINK it all the time, but I would never be up in anyone’s business like that. By the way, I’ve never in my life asked anyone why they were still SINGLE or why are they not married. I always thought it was a stupid question and still do. There are many factors as to why a person is single or married and it’s a very personal decision. Same with having children. Very personal reasons why some folks choose not to.

But some folks think they have a right to ask such classless questions. I thank my fabulous upbringing for not being one of them! :)

disco ~ the mother has said on more than one occasion she is the only one who can beat her children. I remember asking if I could pick them up and shake them and she said no! I can’t have bad children in my home and I can only chastise them with a stern look or a time out. So not me. I will pay my child to say no and give her the $$ I THINK she may have gotten from watching them (lol).
