Where do men like to date?

My friend Eric was asked out on a date recently, which kind of excited him a bit. The young lady kind of added to the excitement telling him that the details of the date was a surprise. Oh, he was surprised, alright.

The surprise date was at an art studio where they had to sketch and paint each other. I thought it was a cute date idea! Eric just could not understand how she thought he would enjoy something like that. I told him maybe he was being tested to see how open minded he could me. Men say they are open to new things, some mean open to new sexual things.

It can be tricky planning a date for a man.  I don’t know how guys do it all the time for us picky – sometimes hard to please people. Where do men go on dates to have fun?

Guys, how open are you to date activities that are a little unorthodox? Would you mind trying a new experience? Do you like it when the women you date introduce you to new things?

Sooooo Eric didn’t have fun???? I mean, goodness gracious, I would not want to date someone so closed minded. I’ve never done that for a date but just thinking about it, I could imagine having so much fun with it, no matter how artistically challenged we may be. Off the rip, he’s taking away ole girls brownie points. At least she asked his azz out and tried to put forth effort….blah blah blah….GTFOH!

Oh, did I fail to say good morning?? I usually eat a Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries for breakfast….so i pack the blueberries, pack my lunch but left the dayum yogurt at home. :???:

as for the topic and fun, i’m known to say that once you pass a certain age you really don’t have fun anymore. when you are younger everything is “man that was so much fun”. when you get older you tend to say “i/we had such a nice time”. sort of like my grandmother describing the “sanging” at the church. lol.

Morning All!

Lee- I had to laugh at your response.

While waiting for the men to chime in on where they like to go on dates, I will respond. I have planned dates in a variety of arenas- ziplining; Nascar; beach; bowling; go karts; park/picnic; music festivals. I have not had a complaint yet and has received compliments on my choices. I had actually planned a sip and paint but did not go through with it and was notified that the guy thought it would be fun. I am open to trying new things and would hope others would be also. If you don’t enjoy it, then you know not to try again, but at least make the effort.

-MsAtl You seem to be adventurous like myself. I like to do a variety of things and I’ll make the best out of any situation. Fun means different things to different people and some people are simply content with doing what the always do, even if that’s sitting on the couch watching reruns, LOL! When it comes to planning dates for guys or anyone for that matter, it’s best to find out his likes and dislikes. Eric prob was not into art/painting. It was not his thing and there’s nothing wrong with that. You just have to plan accordingly. My guy is not into picnics so I know never to plan a picnic date for us bc I know he wouldn’t enjoy it.

Ms.Atl I like the list, I went to a Nascar event and had a lot of fun. I am open to just about everything, if my date puts in the time to plan an outing then I will fully enjoy the time because I appreciate her taking out the time to plan.

Morning
A person isn’t obligated to like an event of activity, especially if they didn’t haven any input (i.e. a surprise). They should, however, be appreciative of the effort, expense, feelings of the person who planned the activities. No need to be rude and inconsiderate because you didn’t get what you wanted. With that said, I actually do like trying new things, so I’m usually cool with surprises. So come on blog ladies…surprise me! ;-)

I don’t like sports yet I’ve been to sporting events. sometimes you take one for the team and leave your selfish at home. besides that, often people don’t go all into planning surprise dates. sometimes they just say “hey do you wanna do such and such”. if you don’t want to do it, say so.

“It doesn’t seem like it’s too difficult to learn.” – LOLOLOL. It was very difficult for me. I do not understand why they have to used a hooked needle. MissMoni- @self sew-ins, I thought I couldn’t do it but I learned how to. I braid my hair down and go to work. My daughter does her own sew-in too. I said if she can do it, surely I can. The first time I tried it it didn’t come out just like how I wanted it so I took it down and tried at it again, well that time it did and I’ve been doing it ever since. There is a comedy club in east atlanta village..its very clean..what I dont know is how funny the white comedians who are booked there are…or is it a white comedy club…that seems so yesterday?

I will try it next time I am in Atlanta.

ALL times I have been at Uptown, it was thru a free promotional giveaway..and even still, after u get in, sit at their tables and see how slimy everything, u just feel like complaining or biaatching, like anybody else who actually paid.
Then they gouge you on their sorry “food”…its really pathetic….
I am presuming the building and establishment is owned and operated by a black dude..but still..

Why cant some black folks just upgrade their places to make their customers have wonderful experiences inside of them?
It boggles my mind

Leggs – My hang up with Uptown is how they seat strangers at your same table. I guess they want to make the best of all the tables/room but it can be plain weird. I wish they would rethink the setup. Also, I hate the 2 item minimum or incur a $10 no-order charge.

Mrs. SexyCool – That is a bit too aggressive to claim to come to my table for a tip. I’ve never had to use the services of a bathroom attendant…I don’t need help putting soap in my hand or grabbing my own paper towel. But if yo ass move all the soap near you and hold the roll of paper towels to FORCE me to have to use it, i’m still not paying you a dime. With all the surcharges they add on to tickets these days, might as well throw a bathroom surcharge on there. I mean dayum!

RE: bathroom attendants – you should see the fellas in the men’s bathroom of a strip joint. They try to make you feel like a baller. Calling you “Boss man” or “Pimpin”. Even if you just got on a white T and some jeans, they gonna brush you down like you got on a velvet suit. I recognize their hustle and normally break a little bread…………..on the first visit only. Don’t be looking for a dollar every time I take a piss. For every dollar he gets, some hoe gettin shorted.

Buttons – Yeah you have to buy tickets, unless they are giving away tickets on the radio or something. (our tickets were only $15 for the late show) I think the price varies but either way, the 2 items are required for every show or pay a $10 fee.

Mrs SexyC – I didn’t go to the bathroom until it was over, so there wasn’t an attendant in there by the time I made my way there. Its just plain awkward if you ask me. It’s not like that is a 5 star hotel/restaurant where they have a person dressed to the nines making sure you have everything you need, or provide a hot towel or something lol
