Dating: Love thy neighbor?
If you are lucky enough to live in an area of Atlanta that is teeming with good looking people, you probably have thought about dating a neighbor. It’s so tempting, right? With soaring gas prices, who is more geographically desirable than the hot neighbor? Well, as with all things, this decision should be made carefully.
You have to determine the risks and benefits: Are they insane? Would they stalk me if things don’t work out? Are they capable of property damage? Will I wake up to find my poor pet being harmed? I’m making light of it, of course, but I know there are some single people that can give you cautionary tales about dating their neighbors.
My friend Carla said that she would date a co-worker before she dated anything resembling a neighbor again. After things got messy with a fine, fine man in her mother’s neighborhood, she has to drive a decoy car to visit her mother. The fine man wasn’t worth it.
What do you think? Is it a good idea to use your backyard as your dating pool? Is it a recipe for disaster or simply smart strategy?

court – that sounds like dude was set up. sounds like sidepiece chick may have contacted the real woman and the real woman doubted the sidepiece. sidepiece was like “I’m taking him to the airport next week”.

court – it makes sense. if she already knew about the chick there’s a pretty good chance old boy would have known that she knew and he likely would have been a bit more careful re having sidepiece at his house (even if just for a ride). if she didn’t know about the chick she likely wouldn’t have snapped so hard just by seeing him in the car with a woman. sounds like she was clueless until sidepiece filled her in and that’s why she went off like she did. of course, we’ll never know but I love to speculate. lol.

Funny y’all talking bout weapons. My alarm kept tripping last night. I had bypass set so I can walk around but everytime I entered the living room, it would set my alarm off. So, I finished the night, uncomfortably with my alarm off. I got a bat though, by my nightstand.

Leggs & Celisea- You two reminded me of the night my son-in-law set off the alarm getting a drink @ 3 am. I had two cops visiting on vacation & both jumped up with their guns. Now you know I would have gone down if the only white guy in a house full of folks ended up with bullet holes in him. He never got another drink after midnight, he stayed thirsty! DB – you hear so many men talk about what all they learned from older women. I know some chicks who go the young buck route but I’m so not one of them. last time a little boy (yeah I said little boy though he was probably mid-20s) was in my face I asked him did he want me to have to fight his momma. I just don’t see the draw. well, lol, okay. I’ll admit for the most part the young ones got the old(er) ones beat in the body department but, well, their still just too daggone young. lol.

Every since I was in my like mid 20’s my draw has been to older women…. My pops use to say I had an old soul. Besides, whenyou catch’em in their 40’s there seems to be so much less drama! Not a lot of gamee and whatnot…. I love it that women at that point in thier lives don’t have time for alot of guess work, past the daydreaming stage, They have done teh knight on a white horse thing and are completely comforatble with where they are and what they are doing…besides, There is very little that you can do that will surprise them or scare them away….
