What makes a woman sexy?
After Beyonce rocked the halftime show at the Super Bowl, I have heard a lot of people comment about her sex appeal. It’s always so interesting to see what people classify as beautiful and sexy. Especially when it comes to what is sexy for women of color, the standard of beauty seems different.
Many people believe that attractiveness and beauty is subjective, but what about sex appeal? Have you ever met someone who just seem to ooze sex appeal? Something about the way they carried themselves or their confidence that grabs your attention.
What do you consider sexy? What makes a woman sexy? What makes a man sexy? Do you think there is such a thing as being too sexy? Too provocative?

Button ~ that girl is bonkers. Her last bf did a number on her by cheating. Her low level of self esteem is going to crush her as she moves along in life. Who in their right mind throws away an attractive man, treats her wonderfully, and is into her with nothing wrong with the relationship other than he’s attractive?

This is the line in Button’s letter that stuck out to me. Regardless of all the “he’s more attractive” stuff, she’s just not feeling him for whatever reason. I’m kinda with Disco on this too, I think dude is tooting his own horn, a little too much for my taste. He might be one of those dudes that are in the mirror more than most women and that could have turned her off. I know it would have turned me off, a dude that’s just too “pretty” and knows it. That’s the vibe I got from the letter.

I think a really nice smile on a women is very sexy. The smell, the walk and a women who is in good physical shape that wear clothes that fit her body is very sexy. Some women can rock a short hairstyle and look very sexy. I like thick, thin and in between.

Pretty isn’t always with pretty, if you really think about it. Most really good-looking men I don’t see out with what I would consider their female equal in the looks department. She may be at the most very cute, most times she’s average, but I see very few equally stunning together. Those women seem to do just fine, so I don’t know what dude in letter problem is.

Aside from obvious matters of appearance, I don’t think sex appeal is a tangible thing that is measurable. What makes someone a movie star? It isn’t their acting talent; it isn’t necessarily even their good looks; I don’t think you can really say what makes you want to watch them. It’s just there, you just do, it’s intangible.
Likewise with music. Aside from idiomatic or genre preferences, what makes you want to listen to some more than others? It’s not to do with their technical abilities. It’s intangible.
What makes you hot for that one rather than the other? Who cares? You just do.

Letter from unspeakable — not me—- My boyfriend and I have been dating for six months but have known each other for more than two years. I am black and he is white. This has never been a problem and our parents, families, and friends are fully supportive of our relationship. Amazingly, we have had precious few arguments or problems. Until now. In a moment of extreme frustration, my boyfriend used the “N-word” in reference to one of my friends. We were alone so no one else heard the comment. I was stunned, shocked, and appalled. I immediately left the room because I was so disturbed. It is a word that neither I nor my family or friends use in any sort of context because I have been raised to view it as incredibly offensive. He came to me and apologized profusely and had tears in his eyes while doing so. I accepted his apology because it was completely out of character for him, but I am now questioning our relationship. What do you think?

Exiled – Him being married to her doesn’t make him suspect in my book. She doesn’t count as attractive in our book, but to some, alot, she is. Her new hubby is kinda cute in a scruffy way himself, Keith Urban.
I’ve just never liked Tom Cruise, so any and everything makes him suspect in my book though. Especially that Scientology weirdness!

Seems like in the pics, she doesn’t look quite as big, but if you pull up video, maybe you’ll see what I’m talking about? Again…it’s just my opinion and not everyone shares it. I was talking to my mom on the phone when it was on and we both agreed that she should not have worn that outfit because it didn’t flatter her. I know she has a nice body, but just didn’t quite look right in that…

Leggs~ I think one my friends is a little pissed with me because I said Beyonce is more of an entertainer/performer than a vocalist; sorta like Janet in her heyday. I said Alicia sings better than she performs/entertains. She said I like AK because she’s high yellow but I told her they both are in the “red bone” category. I think India Arie is a better vocalist than both….shot that theory down lol.
