Dating: Nothing good happens after 2am
Have you ever met someone, exchanged phone numbers and then launched a texting relationship? Weeks later and neither of you have made the move to set up plans for face to face time. Yeah. What IS that?
It’s funny because you have these “pseudo” conversations, in an email or through text messages, and it begins to become a deterrent! Is that a sign that there is no real attraction? I think when you start to get the sense that you are being “maintained” with half efforts, it’s time to cut your losses. If you do nothing and let things continue as is, one night, around 2:00 in the morning, you’ll get that random text: “What’s up? Are you busy?” We all know that nothing good happens after 2:00 am, right?
When should you put a stop to the text messages and emails as the sole means of communication? Do you think that getting to know someone via technology can lead you to a false sense of familiarity or security?

re booster seats. my poor mother is only 5 feet tall and we used to crack so many jokes about her “lift me up” tactics. for instance she has a pillow in her car (a booster seat of sorts – lol) and will go off if you move her pillow.

@Disco the scenerio you describe is on popping all over the ATL. I was out recently at this restaurant and saw this fine sista in a booth with a dude. I could not see dude at the time, I was like damm dude is going to ball tonight. They were drinking and dude was eating crab like there was no more crab left on the planet. By the was she had a roving eye. It was getting late and they were getting ready to leave, I spotted them heading towards the door, this fine-azz sista must have been about 5ft9/10ins tall and the guy she was with was maybe 5ft3-4ins tall, over weight and he had his around dat azz. I almost choked on my seafood. DAMM, DAMM, DAMM!
I was thinking to myself after was I just witness the ATL is the one of the greatest cities in America.

Chick says she is not feeling dude now and I think its because she has stumbled up on some “new new” and she is trying to justify making the move…. If she was not down for all this time, why did she not make a move before??? Yeah, she is laying the groundwork for a bailout and is using the bug concern as an excuse…..

kimmie ~ I was thinking the Wayans too while I typed that. That’s was a funny and sad skit because many talk just like that. A good friend of mine got out of a relationship a few years back. Her bf talked like the Wayans in jail all the time. Many times I told him to just shut up because he was making a fool out of himself…he kept on regurgitating pieces of information he gleaned from other places sounding like a complete idiot. I was so glad to see her dump him. I really was!
