Dating: Are you a snob?

When it comes to dating, some of us have a sense of entitlement. We feel entitled to date the hottest, wealthiest, most eligible singles. We feel that we deserve the best because we are the best. This kind of attitude shows up in how we interact with people.

There is nothing wrong with having standards but there is such a thing as being a snob. Do people know the difference? I don’t know if people even realize when they are being a dating snob. This can be a problem to men because they meet snobby women all the time. Women who scrutinize their income, career, and even their cars.

How do you handle dating snobs? Do you recognize one when you meet one? Are you guilty of being one? What is the difference between having standards and acting like a dating snob?

@Celisea 11:50:

I get what you wrote but I can only evaluate based on my perceptions, not theirs. Evaluating abstract items like beauty, charm, etc., is very arbitrary and in the eye of the beholder. They may be worth what they think, just not to me.

Disco- You know, I thought the same thing about Gabrielle Union- she always had the same facial expressions no matter what role she played.

Dating snobs that is a funny!

Most folks can be considered dating snobs, because what they would like to do on a date differs from what the person they are dating would like to do. Find people with similiar tastes and snooty thoughts and ideas and it will work just fine…

Standards are a must for dating and choosing a mate.
@Leggs… You are such a delight, even while blasting me yesterday you did it with a smile.

@Disco.. If I was working at the gym I would most definitely look at the bootay…

Regarding the topic from yesterdayYou know if Wisa Diva had broken her friend off while he is waiting on his new love we can have a new topic.

Sometimes, I guess we just walk into mess….I’m no exception. I thought you might be baiting me, but I decided to take the high road. I see I was right.

DB – speaking of the gym… so I got to yoga class last night and at the end of the class some trifling heffa walked across my mat in her bare feet. I abhor bare feet!!! anyway, all that freaking floor and that trick walks across my mat. I opened my mouth to say something and then caught myself and said let it go. all I need is to get kicked out of the gym. lol. still the whole drive home I was thinking “now I have to get a new mat”. of course I’ll likely just disinfect the current mat but I was thinking I needed a new mat. that’s just nasty.

Button @11:54: I am considered a snob simply because I wear clothes that are ironed, not stained and don’t wear sneakers. Some think it’s strange I iron my dress shirts. Seriously!

Mark ~ I’ve always laughed inwardly when I see men coming to the cleaners with 10+ shirts to wash and press, and I shake my head at women when I see them putting their man’s shirts in the cleaners. Then I quickly tell myself to hush because some just like there shirts starched and pressed by the cleaners. Everyone isn’t being lazy.

If I had not given up my snobbish ways, I would not be happily married today to an extremely down-to-earth and amazing man.

Leggs, I wash my clothes at home. The chemicals that cleaners put will significantly shorten the lives of the fabric…

Good for you, Mark. That’s how I feel about the dryer. I don’t put many of my clothes in dryer.
