One of the common complaints I hear about dating in Atlanta is the complete lack of creativity. From the way single people approach each other – to the first date and beyond – zero creativeness. Dinner and a movie- texting to ask someone out- do you think we get in a boring rut when it comes to dating?
A lot of guys tell me they don’t put a whole lot of extra effort in making an impression unless the woman has that special “something” about them. So if a woman wants creative dates, she has to show and prove a lot before a guy decides her worthy of that effort? Is that fair?
When was the last time you had a really creative date planned? What is the best creative date you have?

Disco – this one is in Pigeon Forge. I’m leaning towards curling on the bruz. I may just be out with them tonight at the pre- party and tell them to catch me when they get back to the “A”, and we will do the Ques tailgat at the dome….that’s gonna be off the chain. BTW, I didn’t see snow until I was an adult. It was always summer. So you know I don’t know how to ski, none of my potnahs do.

Disco- I’m with you. We had to go to school in a foot of snow in NY. I don’t even want to think about when I lived up in Watertown NY. We had 36 inches of snow in one day! One year our last blizzard was on Mother’s Day and the snow finally cleared from the ground in June. No thanks! I can do without all the “pretty” snow.
DuShawn- I think we can all see a story coming from you next week???

SlimNu – That scripture does play into my decision. On top of that, I’m beat. Due to the weather, I have been having 2 hour commutes each way everyday this week. After I hang out tonight, I will be thru. My energy level is low.
But who knows, once I get around my Dogs, I will be hyped. We haven’t hung out in a while.

We are going out to dinner tonight to a little neighborhood Italian spot and then boo is going to take me out for a grown & sexy dinner Saturday night with another couple!

I hate snow! I like to see pics of it and that’s all. It’s just a pain, even if they shut down my job, I still have to see that the work gets covered. If the kids have to miss school, we end up getting on each other’s nerves and they probably will have to make up the days if it’s more than one or 2. Yall northerners can keep that ish right up there.
Only place snow was cool was when I visited Denver. It was a pretty layer of it on the lawns, but it was sunshine and the streets were dry. Beautiful!

I hate snow, don’t miss the snow, could care less about those pretty, hazardous snowflakes.
disco/MrsAtl ~ nothing closed in NY for any of the many blizzards I lived through. Snow up to my kneecaps, everything covered but my eyes. Snow and then have to fight with The Hawk made for some absolute miserable commutes to and from work. I live here and first snowstorm leaves me stranded for 3 days at a co-worker’s home. That never would have happened in NY (lol).

kimmie – I’ll take the paralysis any day. all I can think is “I hate the snow”. one of my cousins was raised in hawaii and came to PA for the first time during the winter when I was in the 5th grade. of course she had never seen snow and was all excited. the grown ups made us go outside with her to play in the snow. talk about ticked. they sitting in the house all warm and cozy and we have to go play with a cousin we just met in the snow. to this day we still tease her about that.

Well, I got my review and my manager ain’t happy. It was all good ratings (from my team), but she didn’t appreciate some things I was candid about. I told her I too think it was a good year, but what other time to be frank than then? All she took out of it was I don’t think we (or I) can depend on her
Oh well, hope it won’t screw up my bonus…lol She can’t though change how I was rated…which is what determines it. I don’t think though I’ll get 5 figures….lololol

“An important social fabric is broken in our society (when) individuals are taught to fend for themselves once they turn 18,” Brandon Wade, the website’s founder & CEO, said in a press statement. “We can no longer depend on our government or our parents for our education.”
So he starts a web site where college students can solicit sugar daddies to finance their education in exchange for their ‘companionship’. Georgia State has the most so far.
News, doing for yourself when you turn 18 or graduate high school has been going on forever, with some respite from that through the 90’s up to now. Is it just me, or does this sound like an entitlement-minded kid who thinks they are somehow owed a college education?
What’s more, there’s not more than 20 – 30% of high school graduates that even resemble college material. The rest just flunk out, anyway.

abc – Looks as if you scared some folks away but I did read the article and I was not aware of such website. I was chit chatting earlier with a friend who has been stressed about the costs of college education fees. And one student stated, who wants to have that much debt after they graduate…Those debts do not go away, they follow you to the grave lol I’m not certain that I would go so far as to have ‘business relationships’ aka a sugardaddy in exchange for school. I’m not sure I could deal with my dignity or even feel too good about myself having done that. It’s cool for some folks but just not for me. But it looks like puddy is still a hot bartering commodity lol

Since conversation seems to have died down, I will seek comments on a new subject.
The regulars here know that I divorced my ex because of his affair. Specifically, he had an affair with a patient, which yielded kids ( 1 1/2 while married & 1 7 months after the divorce). When all was said and done, he lost his license and his career and she lost 2 children to her ex (they divorced 2 months ago). She and my ex married last month. He is still completely pissed that he lost his license and she lost her kids and they blame me and her ex for that.
The issue- We only communicate by email. However, every time we have to communicate concerning our son, it results in half-crazy rants and nastiness. Since our son is 18, it is only every so often, not even monthly. still, it is annoying to be subjected to the nasty rants, accusations and B.S. as well as him talking badly about me to our son and posting things about me on Twitter. The latest rant was a week ago when we had to discuss our son’s tuition. I didn’t even respond to his last email because he has to get the last word and would have just sent yet another rant. I have told him to grow up, recognize how his actions led to his situation, get rid of his anger, and focus on his new marriage, but that is not going to happen. He is miserable and still angry at me for leaving and for all that happened since then. I have moved on and just want to remain at peace without having to come out of a bag on the fool. This taking the high road thing is really getting to me. But I know better than to write something I would not want the judge questioning me about…
