Dating: The Persistent Ex
Before Lena Dunham scored two Golden Globes for her HBO Show Girls, I had an opportunity to watch a sneak peek of season 2. My good friends at Yelp Atlanta invited me to the private screening/party at King Plow Arts Center. After a minor glitch that brought out some of Atlanta’s hottest firemen (I counted at least 4 that qualified for some kind of hot fireman calendar) the fun and sexy Yelp Atlanta Elite crew settled in to watch the first two episodes of GIRLS.
I was thrilled to see Stone Mountain’s own Donald Glover guest starring this season. He added an…interesting dynamic to the show. His character was faced with a common problem single men go through all the time: dating someone who has a persistent ex boyfriend.
Have you ever started seeing someone new but quickly learned there was a third person still lingering around in the most unwanted threesome scenario? Yeah, that’s not fun..or sexy. The persistent ex is there for a reason, though. Either they can’t let go, your date can’t let go..or all both..the trifecta.
What do you do when the ex is still around your new relationship? Would you handle things differently if it was your ex that was the persistent one?

disco You can?!? lol I honestly can’t name even one chick that I know like that. I knew or heard of some chicks like that back in the college days, but none now. It could be that people who know me (even some family) just don’t tell me about it. They know I don’t want to hear it. Your ears don’t start burning when those chicks tell you those stories? Mine do…like a bad allergy. lol

ex – besides that, I have always been on the team that suspects that Stedman has always been the front for gayle.
dreams – yep. I know plenty. I mentioned one chick on here who let a dude live with her (rent free of course). she renovated her house (a brand new built from the ground up house at that) to his liking. he lived off of her, stacked his chips and then went and married someone else. of course she was crushed but didn’t learn her lesson. in between him and the current she’s been giving away money left and right. her mom passed recently and she gave a guy $5000 off the top. that was last I heard. I’m sure she’s given him more since then. this chick co-signs and even gives dudes credit cards. in her name of course. they are authorized users.

dreams – no lie. I have even briefly considered (joked about rather) getting into the “pimp” game with some of the chicks I know. i could hook them up with a guy and he could break me off a percentage of his take. lol.

ex – my theory re oprah is that the reason she doesn’t come out is because she knows her power. oprah almost has a cult following. if oprah came out as gay a bunch of suburban soccer moms would leave their husbands and start dating the other moms in the car pool. lol.

If Opprah comes out, i think even Georgia might turn blue politically…she cuts across all political didvides….it makes sense to surmise she may be gay…she was abused as a young girl..if it traumatised her,they normally turn that way…well,thats the claim with most men and women who say they were abused when young..they go lesbo or gay….
