Why is size important? Seriously!
Welcome back to another year of Misadventures in Atlanta! I’d like to give a warm greeting to new readers and a great big church lady hug to all our regulars. I thought I would start things off with a bang (no pun, really!) and explore the topic of “package size.” To maintain the integrity of our search engine optimization, I will say package, alright?
Men and women have debated ad nauseam if size matters. Regardless of what side of the issue you stand, I have always wondered why it is actually important in the first place. I was watching an episode of Misfits (science fiction-esque show) and one of the characters had his package..stolen. He literally did not want to live any longer.
Science fiction aside, what would happen to a guy if he did not have his package to define his manhood? There are so many other things about men that make them wonderful, why is their size so important?
I think of how – in comparison – many women feel the same when they have their breasts removed. They feel less of a woman, less feminine, etc. How are these body parts perceived as so much of who we think we are and how we see ourselves?

I have to stop putting myself last and not feel guilty if I don’t. My cousin had made the statement that she was going out to pamper herself, get her nails done, shop etc…she was like, dayum, my car has FULL coverage and here I am, not putting myself first often times.

One of my coworker’s wife is a pharmacist at CVS. He brought in a big box of yard-long Twizzlers! My kids are going to go crazy!LOL!!

A friend of mine had a get together before the new year for her closest friends. We all did vision boards which I thought was pretty cool. Tough love, Pamper Self and Go.See.Do was definitely on my board

slim – I’ve never had that problem of neglecting myself. I look out for me. I’m always telling friends/family that they have to treat themselves like they treat their kids. generally kids get the benefits of Christmas shopping, back to school shopping and summer clothes shopping. and their mommas be trying to treat themselves to one little thing here and there. I always tell them to take a lump sum of money and spend it all on themselves.

Another thing I’m doing this year is making note of every good thing that happens when it happens and putting it in a jar to go through next NYE…Focus on the good and not always on the bad…

One of my resolutions this year is to take my family on monthly trips. Even if its just to Ala. or Tenn. Once every month we going out of town together……somewhere.

o/t – when did sales guys at car dealerships start cold calling customers??? I had a service appt for my car a few weeks back and got a message from the dealership. thinking it related to my appointment I called back and it’s a sales guy trying to pitch me on trading in my car. I politely dismissed him and avoided him when I was at my service appointment. anyway, I just got another voicemail from him. I’m trying to decide whether to ignore it or call him and tell him not to call me anymore. dang bugaboo.

this is my first time being cold called about a car. who knew?
dushawn – this little dusty sales guy gets nothing from me. lol. that’s why I don’t really want to call. I might not be so nice and I tend to pop off at the mouth sometimes. I like my dealership. don’t want things too tense up in there. now, there’s another little sales guy who is just sexy enough that I seek him out from time to time to take a test drive. lol. no pun intended but I just like riding in the car with him. maybe I’ll call the sexy sales guy and tell him to tell his raggedy little co-worker to stop calling me. hmm. is that high school girl-ish?

disco ~ not high school girl-ish, but immediately put me in mind of what a woman would tolerate dependent upon how the man looks. If your sexy sales guy cold called you, you wouldn’t be annoyed at all (lololol).
Almost akin to that test on sexual harassment from an attractive male co-worker and then a weasel at work does the exact same thing. Outlook will not be the same (lol).

those sales guys know I don’t play with them. one tried to holler once. he wasn’t nobody so I told him if I was checking for anybody it would be someone back in the service department, someone who knew how to put in work for real. lol. y’all should have seen his face. about a year or two back I asked them to tell me what they would give me on my car. three different sales guys refused to give me a number trying to ask me all kinds of questions about my finances, credit, where I worked etc. I was like none of that is relevant. all I need to know is what you’ll give me for my car. none of them gave me a number and I’ll never deal with any of them and I told all three of them as much. just trying to run game I tell ya.
leggs – sexy sales guy could call me any old time but we sure as heck couldn’t talk about my car indefinitely. lol.

D – speaking of booties. lol. so I’m in yoga class the other day and we’re doing planks or cobras or something and the instructor was saying to “lay your bottom down flat, flat, flat”. I looked around at all the flat booty chicks in the class and then looked over in the mirror. my butt just looked inflated, sticking straight up. lol. I even wondered if the instructor was talking to me. lay my bottom down flat. there ain’t nothing flat about my bottom. then, I was on the phone telling my cousin the yoga story and she got to talking about some chick wearing tights but her butt was so small that it looked like she had reverse camel toe. omg, we were cracking up. yeah. I’m crazy and most of my family is crazy too.
