My friend Sara is quietly freaking out because she senses a change in her man’s behavior lately. They have not had any major fights, but she said he seems distant and kind of aloof. He’s been this way for a while but it wasn’t until he turned down sex this weekend that she got really concerned.
I am NO relationship expert *cough* but I told her a lot of times men go through things and they just don’t want to open up about it. It does not necessarily mean he has checked out on her emotionally. Still, she worries about his behavior and wonders if they are headed for a break up.
I think a lot of couples hit a rough patch in their dating relationship, some of which come really early on. It can be a double edged sword in that it can either bring you closer together or serve as the beginning of the end. I believe that it is about how you resolve conflict and talk things tough that makes the difference.
That is of course, if you are both committed to it. What should you do if you notice a change in the behavior of your significant other? If they insist that nothing is wrong, do you take their word for it or continue to press them to open up?
If you think about your last break-up, did you see it coming or were there signs that you missed?

A mother carries her baby nine months for reason. By design, she should not be able to easily part. There’s a reason God didn’t make it where we could deliver the minute conceived. By designed he made it where you can bond and grow, grow to love it before it even gets here. To develop a bond unexplainable. Again, that’s not always the case and not always a bad thing if the “better” or more responsible parent gets custody. By design though, the scales are tipped towards mother/baby rather than fahter/baby on purpose.

When my son was born, wifey started contracting at 22 weeks. She stayed in the hospital from November to February. She was in labor and delivery for 2 months. I used to eat in hospital cafeteria so much; the employees thought I worked there. He was a 1.4 lbs at birth and remained in Neo-natal ICU for 52 days. The bill was a quarter million dollars. Now, this little muffuka got the nerve to mumble under his breath this morning when I told him to pull the garbage cans to the curb.

Disco- You have me over here laughing. Don’t try these judges in Fulton because in contempt is exactly where you would be.
S/H & Du- I am with you! I have asked people (usually men) the same thing; how the hayle you babysit your own kids? You’re not babysitting, you’re being a parent.

dushawn – not that you called him out his name. I ain’t mad at you. I would have popped him in the back of his head on his way out the door to get those trash cans.
ms. atl – that one wasn’t even meant to be a joke. that’s one where I would cut my losses and dip. on the outside looking in, I notice that a lot of men threaten to sue for custody not because they want the kids but because they want to take the mother threw the wringer. I’m always telling chicks to call their bluff. lol.
I admit that I’m a mouthpiece and talk much trash but at the end of the day I will say folks can raise their kids how they raise their kids. I just don’t like the whole concept of outsiders dictating that.

Disco..,the one with male physical features must surely have a name?, right.
she is usually the one more agressive/protective.
I was at nrthlake mall some years back and spotted a real leggy curvey cutey coming this was. So I gave her a hard look up and down, naturally. Unbeknown to me,her female partner was next to her and saw my red shark eyes, threw her hand over the cutey’s shoulders then pulled her closer to her.
Smiling but taken aback,I sauntered away.
She had a look, gait and walk resembling Young Jeezy!
is that not the ‘male’ version Disco?

No need for general anesthesia. Lower cost/less invasive than tubal ligation for women.

Me.lo — No need to worry… getting snipped doesn’t prevent you from injecting your chick with the hot creole marinade, nor does it stop you from pulling out & giving her the money shot on her face/t!ts/azz. To use an analogy, you’re still firing missiles, they’re just not armed.

Getting snipped might mess up my trajectory. I got nut stains on my ceiling. I blow tonsils out with force. I would hate to see that diminish to a few weak drips.
