Casual dating vs Committed Relationship?
Before you go on a holiday dating spree, perhaps it is worthwhile to figure out what your short-term and long-term goals are. When you approach your dating life, having some sense of what you truly want is a good way to get the results that you want. I know what, you’re saying..that’s a no-brainer, Diva! Well, you would be surprised at the number of single people walking around with nary a clue of what they want.
Generally, you meet people who either want to keep things casual or those who want to ultimately move towards a committed relationship. The casual dating folks will say things like, “I just want to kick-it with somebody cool, and see where things go” Or one of my favorites: “I like just going with the flow.” Keep in mind, these are the same people that will try to have sex with no strings attached.
People who want committed relationships are fine with taking things slow. They feel comfortable with the idea of making room in their lives for somebody special. They don’t stress about giving up freedom or allowing someone to them for who they are.
I believe that casual dating has it’s place and those who want it should clearly state that intention upfront. There is nothing wrong with casual dating if that is what you want. The trick is figuring out when you should be casually dating people and when you are ready to build a relationship with someone.
How do you know when to keep it light, fun and easy with casual dating? When do you know that it is time to take it to another level?
What do you do when you are ready to leave casual and go committed? If the person/people you are seeing don’t want the same thing, what do you do?

I saw the story about the toddler who was killed yesterday, but I had not heard the reasons behind the 13 year-old sister killing her. I’m wondering, as a parent, how you could or if you could ever forgive your child for killing your other child.

Celisea~ I read that story earlier today about the 13 yr old. They just said she was angry. How in the hell you get that angry at 13 to stab your own sister?? Just last week in Conyers, a 21 yr stabbed his mother several times and when the police arrived he was standing over her in the street. Police shot his azz but he survived and so did his mother. Are these the last days ???:shock:

ITL ~ what is the mindset of the 13 yr old to even think to do that. Back in our day, we took our punishment when nosey neighbors told on us, we didn’t kill anyone and make things worse, Did she not know this would be worse??? WTH?

cba…what was even worse about the Conyers story was that a school bus full of children witnessed it!
This world just gets more and more crazy and evil. I always say to my mom “And you wonder why I’m not interested in having kids…”

I’m really shocked at kids killing other kids these days, especially when they sexually assault other kids too. Unless they are having those things done to them, I don’t even see how they have that type of mindset. We might have dry humped each other back in the day but I never dry humped someone that didn’t want to be dry humped.

I don’t even want to think about what the parents are feeling but the father was rather calm on the tv interview. Unfortunately nothing shocks me these days, even Du’s friend. What’s the actor name who played along with Valarie Bertenalle (sp) back in the 80’s?? Her dad was sleeping with her.

I have already baked my Jiffy for my dressing.
Tonight, I am going to have M be my assistant sous chef and help with the peeling and chopping.
I will bake the pound cake and sweet potato pies and cook the collards tomorrow evening.
I will make the potato salad and candied yams Thursday morning, at the same time that the ham is in the oven. (After our Thanksgiving run at Silver Comet is done.)
Dinner should be on the table by 2p.

Hey Dani & Bluz. No Bluz, I don’t think we’ll get a new topic today.
Comon- Actually this is the first time in about 25 years that I am not having a big Thanksgiving. Canceled plans to go to SC, so I’m staying home & cooking a small meal for 3. Started to go completely hog wild & go out to eat but I could hear the gasps in my head. My family & friends have always called me Betty-Martha (Betty Crocker, Martha Stewart).

I came yesterday and a stray cat in my subdivision decided to make yard it’s new home. It came up and started crying at me. I was wondering if anyone knows anybody in the market for an adult cat. I’m not sure if it is male or female.
