Are men powerless to women?
Yet another scandal involving a powerful, married man. The more details that emerge about Pertraeus and Broadwell, the more ridiculous all of this seems to become. You have two people who had a great deal to lose, deciding to risk it all to have an affair. I am sure it does not seem worth it now, to either of them. I wonder if the forbidden is so tempting that you don’t care what consequences you could face when you are caught up in it?
Whenever I hear discussions about why men and women cheat, I find it interesting how the reasons attributed to each gender can be so different. Women are trying to fill an emotional void, while men are seeking to feel a physical one.
Is is really about giving in to attraction and temptation? When you find yourself susceptible to being tempted, does it not all come down to making a choice?
I have seen a lot of judgment toward Broadwell, as many spin the sordid affair like it is some bad romance novel: Temptress targets her mark and lures him in to her web. Please! That all sounds a little too easy and it totally lets Petraeus off the hook. Are women really capable of making a man so powerless that his good sense goes out the window? Why do you think think?

I think the Patraeus story would get a decent amount of play anyway because of his position, but I think alot of the attention is political. He was due to testify this week about Benghazi. He can still be called to testify, but your conspiracy folks think the timing is suspect.

There are four options to joining the military as an officer:
Academy (for high school students with outstanding grades)
ROTC (for people that want to go to a regular college and have it payed for)
OCS (for people that already have a bachelor’s degree and want a better payed military job)
Direct commission (for people that already have a degree and training in a much needed area like medical or clergymen)

Kimmie those are options for joining as an officer, enlisted can be selected to go to officer training school, it’s rare but it does happen.

Single – I know it does happen, though probably not as much as it used to and I definitely wouldn’t advise a person of color to bank on it, sad to say. I asked my old boss that sits near me about it. He passed several comments about he and Jackies lives but towards the end of his stint on stage dude was like he didn’t give n’aan fck about who did or didn’t like it. Single – LOL!! Actually, the 5 kids thing stuck in my head because my friend, the Air Force recruiter, has 5 kids! I went to college with her, and while she does come from a family of 5 siblings, she is the last one I expected to have 5. She had 2 with her 1st husband and 3 with her 2nd & present hubs. The last one was a surprise! Both hubs are military as well. Yeah, that allotment really came in handy!. The oldest 2 are out of the house now, one in the military too.

Dreams- From what I have heard, the military has changed over the past several years. While we were in, I saw more than one soldier get busted and lose rank for adultery. I also saw a soldier get discharged from the military for an affair with a lower-ranking soldier.
Also, personally speaking, I was too busy being mommy & daddy to be in the club when my ex was deployed.

Single – It was wild, cause the last 2 are about a year apart, meaning it had not been long since #4. She had said she was getting her tubes tied after 4 and I thought she had done it. She said she was bleeding heavy or something, so the doc could not do it. She called me absolutely shell-shocked!
#5 and I have a special relationship! My friend says it’s because he knows I spoke up for him in the womb!LOL!!

me and an ex got into a heated discussion once because she was telling me a friend of hers was pregnant, and it was a blessing, now mind you this friend was always borrowing money, husband wouldn’t keep a job, and stayed in and out of jail for child support. I failed to see the blessing in that!
