Bad money habits concern you?
I have a friend, Victor, who is wondering if he should be concerned about his girlfriend’s money habits. She never pays for anything – doesn’t even offer to. She buys extravagant things, spends a lot of money eating out, and he doubts she even knows what a savings account is.
They have not been an exclusive couple for long, so he has only been observing her spending habits in the last few weeks. He has not questioned her about it yet, but fiscal responsibility is really important to him. He grew up poor and has always been very smart about saving money, living within or below his means. I think he should immediately go and talk about this with her. If it bothers him that much, it is best to go ahead and have the conversation to see how she views money.

abc – I was kind of excited that I found a non-musician. Then, I found out he was a theater major! LOL!
disco – I may have to write a blues song about that. I must say…he warned me that he sucks with girls! LOL! I couldn’t believe that he told me he had $7! Also said he hopes to have some income on Friday (today). In a way, I’m hoping he doesn’t bother coming to my party. Maybe I’ll find me some other cuties who have their isht together!

CC – I’m only 5’3”. I have a close female friend who is 5’10”. she and I weigh the same amount (which to me means she needs to eat but that’s neither here nor there – lol). the poor girl is rail thin but busty. she’s always whining about not having any booty. I never had that particular problem and so I can only feel sorry for her.

If the GOP wants to know why they couldn’t win this election, even with the poor economic numbers, here’s a hint. It’s not because Mitt wasn’t conservative enough (You’ll recall that when he actually started to make the race closer was after the first debate, when he distanced himself from the hard right positions he’d taken in the primary). It’s because most rational people (the ones you actually have to convince to vote for you in a national election, unlike the pockets of bible-thumpers in your congressional district) look at statements like the above (and the “female body can shut that whole thing down” comment and the rape babies are “what god intended” comment, etc., etc.) and think the party has become just a tad too crazy.

swiss~ You can go there with the “tad too crazy” all you like, however if you look at the richest and most well-run states in the union they are almost all Republican. Conversely, the worst run states are almost entirely Democrat. While they may be looney on social issues (Notice I don’t disagree with this point) , when it comes to money they know how to get the job done AND well.
I say all of that to say, we need balance. Dems need the Republicans to check their spending for “social welfare” and Repubs need the democrats to remind them that all of the money is worth naught if you don’t care for your fellow man.
