Can I date more than one person?
One of our readers, who is new to Atlanta, emailed me to get the MIA blog’s opinion about juggling dates. She has few friends in the city and has decided to do a little online dating. So far, she has met a few good men that have great potential. The trouble is, she doesn’t want to narrow it down right now.
They are all actively pursuing her and expressing interest in something serious. It’s a great problem to have, no! While she tries to figure out her best option, she is feeling a little guilty about dating so many guys at one time. She asks, “Can I date more than one guy? Should I let them know they aren’t the only one I am seeing?”
Personally, I like to go by the Golden Rule, do unto others. Would I want to know if there were multiple women jockeying for time with the same guy? (I would). What do you guys think?
Does it bother you when the person you are actively dating is seeing other people? At what point would you expect to be the only one?
If a guy finds out that there is another man interested in the same woman, do they usually back off or step up their efforts?

I thought about y’all clowns last nite. my daughter was trick or treating in the nborhood and had some candy corn. It was packaged about 4-5 to a bag. Couldn’t help but laugh. She regifted them later to some other kids.

Hey Comon! We did go out on Friday night. Met for dinner (well, actually appetizers since we didn’t know the place scaled down their menue), then went to the movies, then back to the bar for a few beers. Went very well. I knew I must be having a good time when I looked at my watch once, then the next time I looked, 2 hours had gone by and didn’t even realize it! I really enjoyed his company. He was very sweet…held my hand during the movie. I like him. Taking it very slow. We’ve been texting and have talked on the phone a couple of times. No mention about doing something this weekend yet. I had thought about inviting him to a couple of things, but I’m not going to. He’s gotta do some chasing!

Ex people don’t admit it because they care what other people think! I’m one of those that if you’re not a contributing factor to my life, I don’t care what you think about me. and when I say contributing, I mean day to day life in that I can’t live without you!

When I first moved to ATL I had no friends and decided to try online dating for the first time in my life. At first it was cool until I started to receive messages from all over the USA from women looking for a man. My first instincts were to stack the deck in my favor by dating mutiple women regardless of where they lived (GA,FL,AL,SC,TEN, etc.). I thougth I could handle dating mutiple women. The fact is I was wrong. Somewhere along the road something happened. I knew I was wrong but could not stop myself. I met a woman I really liked.
You can meet alot of “friends” online dating. I learned that quantity will not win over quality.

Last night after me and the cockblockas got back from trick or treating. I told them to empty their bags on the dining room table, in their individual piles, so I could inspect their candy before they ate it. They talkin bout every year when I’m inspect, I eat half their take. I went on to explain to them that oftentimes a visual inspection will not suffice. Some weirdo could inject poison into the candy with a syringe. But I love my kids so much, I’m willing to risk my life by taste testing the reeses and kit kats. The candy corns always look straight, yall could go head bust them open. They looked at me like heyall naw, Dude trippin.
On another holiday note, I just had a conversation with my mom and asked what she was making for Thanksgiving. She said…” Reservations..Me and your Daddy going to the Bahamas.” I’m like… Dayum Ma WTF!

I can only speak for myself. “It’s a thin line between love and hate.” Guys who date mutiple women are labeled as “players or Dogs” and women are labeled “whores or slutts, etc.. Either way we get no respect because of our actions.
I have married friends who I stay away from because the wife may feel I am a bad influence on her husband. The husband may feel his wife may be attracted to my lifestyle (bad boy) and threaten by my presence in his house. You never know what goes on behind closed doors between a husband and wife.
