First date? Don’t expect to get lucky

A friend told me she was really offended that a guy moved in for a hook up on their first date. She does not understand how he read any signs that she was willing to have sex on the first date. She asked me, “Is this something that men just expect after one date, now?”

Well, I would not say most men expect a first date hook up. They probably would not turn it down, but I would be surprised if guys want to “get lucky” like that. When most people go on a first date, they usually just expect to have a good time. Now, what does a good time mean to you?

Would you be opposed to getting physical on the first date? Is it something that is even on your mind when you first meet someone you are attracted to?

Guys, have you ever decided to “go there” and make a move on the first date? Would it be something you would attempt if you wanted a relationship with someone?

Seriously, though, do not sleep on Ole Miss… They played Bammer tough, almost beat A&M and have now won 2 straight, over Auburn (by 3 TDs) and Arky. This will not be an easy game.

Afternoon all,
Topic- ok, guess I’m the odd man out based on the Convo so far. In the past (b4 marriage-lol) I didn’t date(traditional date) much. I didn’t want a relationship or anything close to that. So with that being said heyal yeah I tried to smash at every available opportunity. I didn’t expect it and very rarely did I push much as that’s just not my style. I can say tho that I have run across plenty of women that pushed more than me for the nite to end later rather than sooner.

Side topic- congrats to the Dogs. A ugly win is still a win. As I stated on Fri I am not surprised. I didn’t hv a good feeling because of the banter leading up to the game. Not a good w/e for football. My gators and my Cowboys lost.

@Slim: Not really. It has a stovetop setting so it can brown (which is nice, because I like to sear my roast before slow-cooking) and also has an “oven” feature, so that you can steam/roast and also steam bake. :)

@Swiss: I’m with you. I’m not taking anything for granted. But man oh man it sure is nice to beat the Gators two in a row.

ITL – Yeah, I seared mine too before I slapped that joka in the crock pot. But that little gadget sounds nice…When the beau went to Miami a few weeks ago, this fool came back with a toaster over. I’m thinking, out of all the things he could’ve brought back, that’s what he came in the house with.

And it was good to see that Murray (??Quarterback) didn’t have to go home looking so forlorn after that messed up play of not throwing the ball. You do realize I’m laughing at myself…

LOL Leggs – I thought Murray was going to hurt himself after throwing three interceptions in the first half. Thank God we picked up some of FL’s fumbles. I can’t believe how long the game was!!! Thanks to the penalties and turnovers. It was such a sloppy game, but I’m just thankful we came out on top. Made me a very happy girl!

Leggs — I was about ready to strangle Malcome Mitchell for running his mouth all dang day, until he busted it for that TD. After that, all was forgiven.

And yeah, Murray had another very shakey game against a good defense, but luckily the defense bailed him out and MM turned a short hitch into a TD.

Willie D — I’m still not sold, though. They showed me they can get up for 1 game, against our most hated rival, with literally the whole season’s aspirations riding on it. That should be a given, though. They still need to prove they can bring that team to the stadium every week.

O/T: What do you think of Creflo Dollar asking his parishoners to donate funds to get the family of the man shot out of debt. I believe $234K+ in debt. Ummm, why can Creflo reach into his millions and pay the debt himself??

@Leggs – “What do you think of Creflo Dollar”

I have been waiting to hear the rest of the story. I heard he is personally donating alot of money. How much? He never disclosed. I guess he will do the right thing and help this family as much as possible.

I heard about Creflo’s request this morning. At the time, I did not realize that it was the amount to pay off the family’s bills.

Initially, I called it “rather arrogant.” With the additional knowledge, I call it “arrogance with decent intent.”

Really – the family should just sue the church’s general liability and the congregation wouldn’t have to donate an additional dime.

I am fairly certain that the Reverend Doctor Dollar’s plea will prove productive and will prevent the family from filing suit.

SlimNu ~ lil leggs asked that I take the toaster over I got her for her dorm room back home. I was looking at it when I pulled the car out the garage this morning.

I personally think it is wrong of Creflo to ask his congregation to dig into their wallets and get another family out of debt. This happened in HIS church, was one of HIS parishoners, and even though he may be donating a “hefty” amount (everything is relative), he should donate ALL OF IT!

Leggs – He said his dad gave it to him. LOLOL That’s one thing about going home to visit if your parents or relatives live out of town. No telling what the hell you’ll come back with but you don’t want to say no. The last unwanted thing I got was an old tennis racket that my stepdad bought at a yard sale. When he was helping me put my luggage in the car, he saw that I had some rackets back there. (I only had them because the beau and I went to hit a few balls at the court a few weeks prior) But anyway, here comes my step dad with the racket with the old wooden case that you had to screw the corners loose to get the racket out. Talk about an antique

Dreams – I’m thinking that may be the one that we do. Either that or I will return to the scene of my demise – Rock and Roll New Orleans. And actually, we could do that half as a relay. That would give him the medal he wants and allow me to not leave New Orleans feeling like a whipped puppy.
