Why no second date?

Have you ever had a really great introduction or first date with someone and felt a strong connection? You can literally sense the attraction and feel the chemistry spark. If you had to place a bet, the odds of hearing from them again were in your favor! Then nothing happens…ever.

It is SO frustrating but it actually happens a lot. People flirt, mix and mingle all the time. You won’t always have what you feel reciprocated, and you can’t take that personally.

Think about the last time you met someone and immediately realized they were not a good match for you. What was it that made you think that they were better suited for somebody else?

When was the last time you met someone or had a first date – but decided not to pursue it?

I heard a guy say that he refused to ask for a second date because the woman’s car was a mess inside and out. That made me wonder if our reasons are always valid? How can know for sure that you aren’t being too critical, picky, or judgmental?

Do you know why someone lost interest in you? Does it really matter to you or do you just “charge it to the game” and move on?

enigma – now that got a giggle out of me. some men have separation anxiety when it comes to their hair. come to think of it, a lot of women do too. one of my cousins was walking around looking straight crazy with some jacked up broke off uneven hair. she didn’t have a fingernail full but didn’t want to cut it. I took her right to the barbershop and got her a boy cut. oh – and it may sound like a joke but I knew a girl back in high school whose hair was so short she needed weave to wear fingerwaves. no lie. true story.

Comon have you seen some of the pictures from the Holocaust? I was looking at something about the US soldiers that were in prison with the victims and some of the things they endured, I could never find anything funny no matter how they spin it.

CC – I understand where you are coming from. I have a friend who refuses to watch movies like roots or schindler’s list because she says they are too oppressive. they are. I get it. but if you look for the humor, you can find it. based on a lot of memoirs I’ve read, humor helped get the survivors through.

They think it’s ok to laugh too:

Many survivors used humor to get through such a terrible event.

Cosign..some men actually look better bald but you have some brothers that ummm…can’t quite pull off that particular look…

Eventually, you will see a man’s head shaped like a light bulb

And me being the sensitive person I am, would just burst out laughing as soon as I do…

After KanYeezy so famously interrupted TSwift at that awards show, after he finished his statement about Beyonce having the “greatest video of all times”, he gave this little shrug.

Since then, the KanyeShrug has been a thing.

Disco I can only watch those once, and no white person better not say something cross to me for a few weeks after. I’m sure there was some humor in alot of things, but it’s hard to imagine and from all the stories about the holocaust, Just haven’t heard anything but pain and suffering from the survivors. And I guess what really bothers me is that if some people had their way it still would be going on now.

disco I actually saw an independent film about just that thing. It was about persecuted Jews in Italy. The Nazi’s took a guy and his daughter from their home to a concentration camp. The father convinced his daughter that it was some elaborate joke or game in order to shield her from the realities of the atrocities. I can’t remember the name of that movie.
