When men don’t pay..
One of our readers had a second date with a guy she thought was really nice. At the end of the date, he asked her for her portion of the bill. She was bothered by this and is not quite sure what to make of it. What does it mean when a man does not pay for a date?
Their outing was her idea because she was gifted free tickets to an event through work. Getting dinner before the event was his idea, though. So, she feels that he should have paid for her for two reasons: He is the guy and is pursuing her. The date activity was no cost to him because of her work connection.
Fellas, if you don’t pay for a woman, is that a reflection on what you think of her, or how you feel about her?
Ladies, why do we freak out when men don’t spend money on us? What do we think or feel, when a guy spends his money generously – to impress/woo us?

Swiss I loove your post especially the part about “offering your arm”, I think that tells alot. As benign a gesture as it may seem, little things like that and opening doors is important and makes us feel like laaadies.

Hey hey folks. Yep…2 days in a row..I’m dropping in. Apocolypse is a coming right?

SWISS….I guess “New Boo” is diggin’ ya’ girl because he does all of that for. He believes in picking up the tab. So once thus far..I had to put my foot down (nicely) and paid the the dinner tab. For this weekend’s dates ..tomorrow is Paranormal Estate and then a nighttime visit to the Haunted Cornfield in Upstate. I plan on doing the foot down thing some more. We are into the weird. We have been frequenting haunted hauses and off the wall exhibits. He doesn’t even care that I LOVE Battlestar Gallactica. Well he calls me a nerd. But he says I’m a hot and sexy nerd. So…I’m cool! But on the paying tip…I am very much in to OCD and home decor. So he did not take offense to me cleaning his condo. I even bought him a few items for his place that I saw when I was out shopping that I thought would go great in his home.
COMON…girl your story would make a good tv movie as a romantic comedy. Can I play the role of you?
LEGGS…go home and take a nap so you are refreshed for Steppin’. And then I will require that same action for next weekend when I come into town for Halloween. You know how the crew does it! No sleep til Brooklyn!
