Awful girlfriends make terrible wives?
I found out another test that men like to give the women they date, it’s called the Sick Test, i.e. does she take care of me when I am sick. My friend LC said he happened to catch a nasty cold last week. Ah, but he wasn’t too weak to observe how his new girlfriend was going to handle his illness. He wondered, would she pass or fail?
Unfortunately, she didn’t seem all that concerned about him. She even steered clear of him for a few days because she “could not risk picking up his bug” this week (Ouch?). She still has not come by, only sending him occasional text messages to make sure he is still breathing.
I found it rather funny because I don’t approve of giving people relationship tests. LB ended up getting his feelings hurt and now he is questioning what kind of wife his girlfriend would make!
I think he is being utterly ridiculous but maybe I’m just taking up for his lady friend because I think she’s great for him. Do you think someone who has shown bad girlfriend/boyfriend behavior would make awful marriage partners?
Have you ever second-guessed your dating relationship after seeing something that would probably be too hard to deal with in a marriage?

Swiss the problem is that what got this country out of the great depression was industry! we don’t want that now, every one needs a white collar job, but everyone doesn’t have mindset or the education to have those. you have to have something for the ones that would never make it in any kind of educational institution to do. and McDonald’s aint it!! you’re right, right now all we have is the rich getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

Unfortunity the State of Georgia and the majority of the southern states are not in step with the rest of the USA. For example Georgia is lagging behind because of politics (Governor, State Capital, etc.). The newly elected Governor is a crook and the State Capital is run by lobbyist who put money in the pockets of both republicans and democrats. The people of Georgia should be outraged but they continue to vote along party lines and keep the same people in office regardless of what they stand for. Until the people of Georgia elect and demand a fair and responsible government we all will suffer because of the actions of the majority (White republicans) who are still filled with hatred, fear and bigotry.

bluz – I don’t generally check for Halloween but an opportunity to step out is an opportunity to step out. a local museum/cultural center is hosting a “costume optional” party. I’ve attended their events before. they are pretty cool because they have a couple of different dance floors/bars/food stations set up and you have the option of touring the galleries. sometimes they have live music in one area and a dj in another. I’m thinking about going and I’m thinking about throwing together a little something something.

I may even get some kind of costume just to dress up for the kids who will knock on my door! The past two years, I did the same costume and need to change it up this year. Just blanking on what. I usually procrastinate and pick something last minute!

I already know the answer to that one, Button. As a general guideline, men should seek medical attention for an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours with no *ahem* “down time” involved. Now, if he’s a three-peater, he should seek me and not medical attention.

Nope, not always the case…have heard plenty of chicks complain that their dude doesn’t reciprocate what they dish out in bed. Some men have a complex of getting down and dirty with their wifey, main chick whatever…but will rip it up with the side chick. But we can agree to disagree…Because only in a perfect world would one person’s actions be met with the same effort.

On topic – Certain benefits come with being a wife/husband. I think it’s wise that any woman be sure not to confuse her roles. I’m your girlfriend until you put a ring on it. Sure, I may bring you soup & OJ or run and pick up your prescription for you , but hang up under you and catch your flu and be the mother hen – uhm no. Might sound mean, but I knew what I was doing before I married. Like one benefit you don’t get as a boyfriend is me doing your laundry. Just won’t happen.
