Do men feel pressure to marry?

I don’t know what its like to be single and male, but I can tell you being single and female definitely comes with pressure. The older you get *cough* the more people look at you and start to comment on why you aren’t married, how to fix it, and telling you that you have something left to do in life.

I have never heard of any of my guy friends talk of the same kinds of pressure to be someone’s husband, though. Some of them comment about feeling the need or pressure to have kids, but not necessarily with a wife. Do men feel pressure from family, friends, or even society to get married?

Do you think that there are actual marriages that are a result of “pressure” from everyone else to be married? How do you think that impacts the health of the marriage?

Would you consider dating and marrying someone simply because you feel you should be dating and marrying?

Happy Monday!

Sassy – LOLOLOLOLOL….I’m still hanging on to the headbutting thing…

Girl, Jennifer’s ex is just too done. I wish that would have been me he tossed a drink on. He would have gotten a chair in his back when he walked away. A chair, a flower pot, something…a knife, but I wouldn’t have just sat there. He should be grateful she looked his way.

ITL~ Speaking of Tailgating… are y’all gonna be posted up in your normal spot this Saturday? Pending a response from the babysitter (i.e. the grandparents) I am going with the hubs to see Vandy and I will try to catch up with you. You have to email me the location so I can print it out to have with me. Maybe if the hubs runs off with the frat, I can chill and drink with you.

CC – I don’t like their Strawberry sodas. I do like the Hi-C Orange at McDonalds. I just don’t have because of the sugar intake.

disco, mickey-dees chocolate chip frappe has become an occasional indulgence of mine. other than that, i rarely darken their drive-thru window.

if i MUST deal with fast food, i’ll shoot for a baked potato and chilli from wendy’s.

btw … a fairly reliable source tells me arby’s roast beef is received dehydrated (like an MRE).

jen needs to find her inner jersey. just a lil bit tho, not like tammy.

Yes she does but you’re right not like Tammy….cause sista gurl will let you have it in a New York minute. I really wanted to see her and Evelyn brawl but Evelyn knew what it was….she bucked a little bit but not like she did with the other ladies.

Sassy – I haven’t followed Iyanla over the years but I hear she’s got her own issues. I only saw the show Oprah aired where she and Iyanla were ironing their differences and misunderstandings. It seems they’re BFFs now.

Sho nuff….I was mad for her. I would have just straight snapped. He was just a bitter brother, mad cause she was moving on and done hanging on to him and his mistreatment. Heck, hedda got a chair, simply how he talked all disrespectful to her. She was a good one though cause disrespect and philandering will get you out….for good, done!

No can do the strawberry soda…

I’ve had it before but not in a long time…I also like a really cold, almost kinda frozen Tahitian Treat…but haven’t had one in years. It’s not really conducive to the healthy lifestyle I’m into..although an occasional treat once in a while isn’t bad. Once I start it’s hard for me to stop so I just leave it alone all together.

Look how long it took her to even grow the cajones to leave dude…it was a WELL KNOWN fact that he cheated on her…ALOT…and EVERYone knew about it. So if she’ll withstand that kind of humiliation for years then a drink obviously didn’t faze her. Plus that might’ve been ammo for her lawyers, too…

I really wish I could be like some of my friends though… they get divorced one month and marry again in the next month.

a little late, but that’s easy, just find someone as desperate to be married as you are, and do it, that’s why they’re on the 4th and 5th marriages, the newness wears off and you move on to the next one.

It’s all good, nothing negative but my day is easy breezy cause I trained them…lol My manager did make mention that the portfolio is not as clean as mine. So, lat eon Friday I referenced that I had gotten som “upsetting news” so since it is a slow blog day, I will throw it out for y’all opinions.

Late Friday afternoon (about 4:45 to be exact) I got a call from one of the dean’s at my kids’ school that my son had been called the “N” word by 2 guys that play on his football team during recess. The exact sentence was “Little Cents is a b!@tch Azz ninja.” and “He can’t play basketball with us because he is naturally a better player because he’s black”.

So, I will let you guys tell me how you think it should be handled and I will tell you what I think we are going to do.

Comon while I don’t like the N word in any form, I don’t care who it comes from, those kids are only repeating what they heard some other person, (probably a black person) say, they may not be fully aware that they are not supposed to say it. I know how I handled it when I was 7, I called him a cracker and almost got to fighting if it wasn’t for the teacher sending me home. but these days since it’s “supposedly” okay unless another race uses it I really would have to look at the context (if that’s the right word) of how it was said.
