Dating: Rejection and big egos

Have you ever been out somewhere, minding your own business, and you get approached – when you really don’t want to be? Things can get kind of awkward but it only gets worse when someone’s massive ego gets bruised and they can’t handle it.

In the last few days, I have heard disturbing stories of people completely losing their cool when they get turned down. It’s like they go from sweet talk to rage speak in sixty seconds! Whatever happened to bowing out gracefully or going away quietly?

Of course, letting someone down should be done in a gentle manner, but why do you think some people don’t just move on? What do you do if things escalate?

What is the best way to say you are not interested in someone?

The more unfortunate acts out of 911 was the scammers taking undeserved money for illnesses they didn’t have.

C~ Yes, losing amother at any age is traumatic, but when I use the word unfair that it what losing amother as a child is by the very definition of the word. I’m not talking about the hooligan mother/family. I’m talking about the mom that takes time with you and kisses your boo boos. When you lose a child to a disease like leukemia and then you are also left toting the enormous medical bills that came with the illness that is unfair.

un·fair/ˌənˈfe(ə)r/Adjective:
1.Not based on or behaving according to the principles of equality and justice.
2.Unkind, inconsiderate, or unreasonable

So, yes, life IS unfair, but as i said earlier, it is unfair for everyone, so I guess that makes it fair. I don’t disagree with the “into every life some rain must fall” doctrine. And I wholeheartedly agree that one’s reaction to things can be a game changer, but by it’s definition it is still unfair.

By your definition it’s unfair, by mine, my rearing and belief, it’s IS fair…let’s agree to disagree.

Leggs~ Did you see the story about the guy who was SUPPOSED to be at work in the towers but was in the bed with his mistress and did not realize what had happened until his wife called him repeatedly and when he answered the phone (finally) he told her he was at his office in a meeting? D’oh!

What up, nothing on topic….

As for 9/11, it will always be with us, and that image of President Bush in the classroom sticks with me. As much as I feel the effects of the Bush Year’s still, I must say, he was faced with a monumental tasks of showing Leadership at what has to be America’s darkest moment, and he did.

As for these soft azzded kids, failure is part of life, response to those failures is what is most essential to growth.

Leggs there were scams popping up from out of nowhere. I remember people at parks and store fronts having fund raisers that dind’t make it to it’s intended destinations.

Hey UGA fans, ESPN’s college “analysts” Mel Kiper, Jr and Todd McShay have a debate on whether UGA can will the NCAA title this year. Think that I was told that it availble on the website, too. However, you have to be an insider to read it or watch it there. (Insider means subscription). I haven’t read it. I know that UGA has to go through South Carolina to get there, not to mention Florida in Jacksonville (which hasn’t been too kind to the pups for the better part of 20 years).

Jake ~ unfortunately, I have to agree with you re: Bush in the classroom. He didn’t jump up in panic scaring the children. He definitely handled the news the way a President should have. Ice cold on the outside, sacred as hell on the inside.

Oh, one thing that Gamecks and Bulldogs have in common is a dislike of Florida. I rooted for UGA and UF last week to “welcome” the newbies into the SEC. I can’t seem to forget that Will Muschamp played for UGA, but coaches Florida. Kirby Smart (Alabama’s figure head Defensive Coordinator) played for UGA, too.

However, I felt dirty and just totally inadequate as most Dawgs and Gators must feel on a normal basis. I truly sympathize.

Leggs…I always thought it was unfair of people to say Bush just sat there looking dumbfounded…his response was Presidential, it ain’t like someone told him there was Tea in the Breakroom.

And while we are on it, here is my Inner Conspiracy Theorist leaking out, I have no doubt that the plane in Pennslyvania was taken down…if you think that our military did not have take down orders after Planes had already hit the Pentagon and WTC’s, “You Are extremely Unrealistic, Or just Patriotic”. There was no way that they were going to allow another plane to hit another target.

Seriously, though, Someone offered me some tickets to Saturday’s UGA game. The ceremony for Russ officially becoming UGA IX is this weekend. Unfortunately, I already have plans so they were given to another attorney. A fall night game in Athens is always pretty cool. I hate to miss.

I was in attendance for last passing of the collar to UGA VIII at game against Vandy. He didn’t last long as that, though.
