My friend Justin recently asked me, “How many dates does it take for you to figure out if you want to know more about someone?” – which sort of made me pause. I hadn’t thought of an arbitrary number before because I guess I always knew on date one whether or not there was a connection. Is one date enough, though?
Chemistry is such a weird and unpredictable thing. A lot of times, there are no sparks on the first date, or second date! Heck, you may not feel the boom until date four! The problem is – we usually don’t wait that long for it to show up!
First dates are not everything. Perhaps we all should give our potentials a little time to “cook” to see how hot things could get. Do you think three dates is enough to know if you want to continue seeing someone?
How many dates does it take before you decide the chemistry is there or not there?
What do you like to see, think, or feel about someone to decide whether or not you two are compatible?
Happy Friday!

Cel u know the blog is addictive.
Common,I wil say this: I have never been one to believe that these schools that are good sports,(football in particular( are good at academics as well. They fudge their kids records and that’s a fact. The authorities at those schos give tacit approval to cheating actually.
So I think while there are good public schools that try to excel at both, and you happen to find one, there are forces(evil) that may pull ur kid in the other direction.
Always think Penn state and Joe Pate_pedophile!!
That’s what u need to plant in ur head as u look for an optimum solution!
Ok I’m gone!

I wouldn’t move my kid either if academically and for a condition, the environment worked well. Kids can’t make rational decisions and moving because of an extracirrumculum, for me, would take a back seat.
A very good friend of my have two sons, one of which is 7 and plays for a church team. Knowing my friend, he ain’t a member of the church. But, I believe the program is open to anyone that registers before the roster is full. My point is, there should be organizations where a kid can play without necessarily having an affiliation. So, the school team may not work but there should other avenues you can take.

Good Morning, all.
CC-
Academic first. One thing that I am most grateful about in my life is that I had choices. I was offered full undergrad academic scholarships to UGA, Auburn, Florida State, and partial scholarships to some Ivy League Not saying this to brag, but to express having how having options. I chose to attend South Carolina because I wanted to explore the football path. Not because it was my only avenue for college. Looking back, having a choice was so great for me. I had many teammates that looked at me like I have three eyes because I chose to do the early morning runs and drills. Many teammates had no other choice than play football to earn a college degree.
As for honing in skills, there are plenty of summer camps by various coaches that can help your child . Many D-1 college coaches themselves conduct them or host them. Mark Richt has done one for years. DJ Shockley (former UGA QB and Falcons backup) developed a relationship with Mark Richt down in Tallahassee while Richt was offensive coordinator of FSU. When Richt accepted UGA job over the Missouri job (he was offered the job by both school-ironically they play each other tomorrow), DJ followed Richt to UGA.
Also, many professional players have summer camps as well. Andrew Luck got instruction in high school by attending Peyton Manning camp.
My point is there are other ways to skin a cat. (lobbed that one right up there for, Exiled!..
) You just have to do the research and may have to come out of pocket more, but it is an investment.
Lady~favor ain't fair! :-)

Heeeeey there Lady. I don’t have to ask today what’s crackalackin, you’re amped (it reads)…lol Not a whole lot popping, just yet on my end. Of course we’re coming off the top of the morning. Much later, I have a few coals in the fire. Right now, work is slow. I’m about to start putting together a few letters I need to send to clients. That’s something to do so I’m not just sitting on the clock doing nothing. Need to earn my pay.
Have a fun filled weekend!

Regarding GA vs. Mizzou, folks should realize that Missouri is a lot more than they may think, what with the SEC is king mindset. Mizzou is tough. That should be a good game.

PG~ We have already begun paying the price of summer and spring break camps. (Ladies, I probably could HAVE some red bottoms if I didn’t have these expensive kids! I kid, I kid) We are doing the Offense-Defense camps and now that he is getting ready for high school, I have started researching the AAU programs and travel teams. I appreciate the perspective.
C~ I will definitely check into some of the other teams in the area. Good advice. I hadn’t thought about that route.
And I’m still left to wonder whether or not Wendy Williams is a tranny. I have ALWAYS wondered
She is not a tranny. I (like you) swore up and down she was a tranny, but she has documentation that she was born a female (just an Amazonian one, apparently) She also showed pics of herself selling girl scout cookies as a child and either it is her in the pics or she has a twin sister.

The group that sang Disco Inferno is on her show. Somehow “burn that mother down” just don’t sound the same coming out of a what, 65 or 70 year old mouth. That match has been struck and the flames gone. Ain’t even no simmering going on…lololol

So I finally spoke to Mr. Club Mgr and yup, it was exactly what I suspected it to be. He said he has had my number from when my stepdad was performing at his spot. My mom had given it to him so he could get in contact with me to pick up a check. Anyway, he says he’s had my number since then and constantly struggled with whether to call me or not. He told me how it was from the first time he saw me, he would watch me from afar and try to keep from staring my way. He just wanted me to know how beautiful, sexy, classy blah blah blah and more blah I was. Said he didn’t mean to cause any harm, offend me but he had to let me know.

CC – I was like this is awkward and if I’m not mistaken aren’t you married? (I already knew the answer) But he was like, yeah I have an ole lady, been married 10 years. He said he didn’t want to get me in trouble with my boyfriend and I was like, well shouldn’t YOU be worried about getting in trouble with your WIFE? He laughed and said he definitely was not worried about that. Homeboy was just fishing to see if i’d sign up for his side piece and all efforts were shut down. He was like, so you didn’t notice me always looking at you or trying not to stare. I said, well in order for me to notice that then i’d have to be checking you out and apparently that was not the case. I don’t go into a place looking to see who is checking me out. lol WEIRD…now I’m not going to want to go to that place again especially if he’s going to be there. I told the beau about it last night too
