Relationships: What is your hurry?

Have you ever met someone you liked a lot and things started going super fast? It’s like your romantic interest went from potential interest to possible soul mate in a matter of days. What happened?!

I think a lot of us get caught up in someone new that we tend to jump over a couple of steps. What is the urgency? Why the need to rush things on the fast track?

I can remember an older woman telling me that you should not make any decision about a man until you have seen him in every season: winter, spring, summer, fall. Yes, apparently men can have different sides to their personality that is specific to a season!

Old wives tale aside, I can understand why seeing a person in different situations can show you a lot about their character. Do you believe that rushing a relationship can allow a person’s true character to be observed?

How do you slow things down without pushing everything off the rails? Would you be offended if the person you were dating wanted to slow things down?

Leggs~ Yes, it is starring Jamie Foxx. And he had the nerve to call it the new Roots. But judging by the trailer, I must say Negative, Ghostrider to that!

Random thought: I may take advantage of the PF Chang’s free appetizer offer on their Facebook page tonight. I haven’t had the Changs in quite a while. I love the crab wantons.

I’m so excited! Baby girl wants to learn piano. I took lessons for 10 years but have not played since I graduated high school. I’m brushing up on reading music and we ordered a Yamaha electric keyboard so I can teach her the basics. It should arrive in the mail today. If all goes well, we’ll invest in a piano. So excited to get back into that. It really gave me an appreciation for good music!

**Re; Women shopping. Women may save more than men but I refuse to goto. Ninety levum stores for a pack of wifebeaters.**

Exactly, if you do that you haven’t really saved anyway. If gas is $4.00 per gallon, you may spend more riding around that if you just did your research on the internet and found the best place to go to get what you are searching for.

Especially if you drive from Stonecrest to Arbor Place for a pair of red shoes, you spent more in gas than is necessary.

And, PoppaG, that is how I look at things. I got something at a good price, but how much gas did I used to get there. Meaning, bargain shopping is good, but not if I’m making a lot of trips comparison shopping.

I look at the ads and online before I go if it’s a big ticket purchase to make sure I am getting the best price.

But you can’t find my favorite designer, Clearance, or his sister, Take Another 30% Off, in the ads or online. Nope. That’s a gotta be there and root through the racks experience. And I love it.

While I may not do all of the comparison shopping, I definitely have to try them on and walk around in them a bit to make sure that they are the correct pair. And, myself personally, I am not a one size fits all kind of girl. I need to make sure the shoe feels as if it was tailor made for me. I also don’t want a shoe that 5000 other people have. IJS…

ITL- I am just going for the free. “Free” is my favorite 4 letter word. As far as bagels, I like Goldbergs but there aren’t many around me.

I will say that Changs took really good care of me and the missus after one of their servers nearly had me take a swing at him. He wasted food on her and gave her the towel to clean up. I wrote the regional manager a nice long email. Then, I was contacted with a long apology by the CEO of the restaurant group that they belong in. Two weeks later, we received $300 in vouchers that covered food and alcohol. So, they responded well with customer service for me. Now, I haven’t eaten there since the vouchers were used up nearly 3 years ago.

I definitely wouldn’t get any Frozen Changs out of the supermarket. Whose bright idea was that?

I don’t have the patience to drive all over town for anything, never have. I know where I can find a deal most times, especially now with the internet. If I can get it online and not have to drive, it’s on. It’s not worth my time and energy and gas if I gotta make it a day trip. There are certain places I like to go for “treasures”, like cool jewelry or just something I know I won’t find anywhere else, but even then I have a certain price limit. All that driving all over town to save 2 cents is stupid – and I don’t think that’s a word to describe me!LOL!!
