Judging the book

Single people can find themselves scrutinizing each other for every little thing. The problem starts when we find random things to judge each other about. Sometimes we have to find out right away, exactly what the flaws are.

We think that is a way to improve our dating odds, but it can have the opposite effect. Women notice how men have too many female friends. Instead of thinking this as a positive thing, we assume he has slept with all of them. Men notice that a woman has a great career. Instead of thinking she is ambitious and capable, they assume she has no idea how to put someone else first.

Judging a book by it’s cover – we do it all the time, I don’t know if we even know when we do it. Do you think you have a problem judging people too harshly?

Have you ever felt that someone judged you and made assumptions about you?

For Real – Seeing that I’m baby Rella’s auntie, we gonna have to do something about the 4 $2 gas cards you’re supplying once a month (when you roll in) for 3 months worth of pampers and milk

“I’ll get the boys clothes and then exchange at full price for baby Rella’s stuff. No shame in my game.” – That’s my gurl. Can I get a fried hotdog sammich to go? I got another shipment coming in.

@For Real: There’s some chicken franks on the counter. Go on and use up that fish grease, too, so I can throw it out. :)

Light – LOL!! I have only been to the South City Kitchen in Midtown. That was years ago, but I remember it being the bomb!! Got the BEST peach bellini there and some banging She-Crab soup! I have got to try the Atlanta Rd location though. That’s too close to my house not to have been there yet. What did you have?

We went to the Atlanta Rd. location! I almost went for the she-crab soup, too, because that’s one of my faves.

We started with grilled scallops over a corn puree and roasted corn and a crab cake with cucumbers and avocado aioli. Entrees were shrimp and grits (made with Red Mule grits from Athens!) and catfish over a maque choux with blue crab. Everything was incredible.

“I did ask it back and he replied with a joke and a smiley face. I know he’s missing me too. I can tell by other texts. At one point he told me he may have to keep me around a while…”

Wouldn’t it have sounded better if he said “I think I keep you around..” Comes across to me like you’re a moments distraction, nothing more. I like you Bluz, but I’m seriously beginning to wonder if it makes any sense breaking things down to you because you have on about 4 or 5 pair of coated sunglasses.

Yeah, we go over to the square to J. Christophers for lunch sometimes, or to the little square behind Starbucks to Sushi Nobu for lunch.

That dinner last night, though, was outstanding. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was nice….just a good time all around. I highly recommend it.

Celisea ~ that’s how I felt about taking my child to Le Cordon Bleu for lunch. Unfortunately, called last week and the restaurant is under renovation but they are giving tours with chefs cooking a light lunch…taking her and some of her frirends there tomorrow. Should be interesting. If you guys never had lunch or dinner at Le Cordon Bleu, you should do so. Your waiters are students and being on the floor is their final test. Food is delicious. had lobster bisque there for the first time and it was devine!

@Kimmie: I don’t blame you. I did see a few kids there, though. Make sure you ask them about their loyalty program while you’re there. Somehow or the other you get points/rewards everytime you eat at one of their restaurants, which include La Tavola, Lure, and Ecco. Oh, and Alma Cocino and The Original El Taco (had to pull out the manager’s card to double check….LOL)

@For Real: Give Kimmie those gas cards, boo. :)
