Trust your ex around your next?
I am stumped on this latest dating misadventure. I am lucky enough not to have experienced this one:
One of our readers is slightly freaking out since her ex ?? (um ex-fling/hook up/random guy to past the time with just befriended her new man. At this point, she is unsure if it was deliberate or if they simply met each other through friends innocently. To make matters worse, he has a little dirt on her. Just enough to make the new man’s opinion of her change. (She won’t say what it is, specifically but my imagination is working overtime).
I can say that if an ex of mine met my new beau, I’d probably freak out a little bit too. I just don’t know what my exes could say or do to wreck things. Why would the want to?
What would you do if your ex and your new mate became buddies or BFFs. Would you worry about what would be revealed about you?
Is this good reason to have full disclosures in a new relationship. That way, you won’t worry about something coming out before you want it to?
Have you ever met an ex partner of your significant other?

Mmeello – Honestly, I would hold nothing against someone, ESPECIALLY if they’ve accepted Christ. I’m broad enough in thought to know no sin is greater than another.
For medical reasons though, I’m not going there…period.
Why is a thing incredible to believe Juanita dabbled? She’s a person like the rest of us. If I like sex, the freaky sneaky as well as you, I’m sure she does.

Exiled – No, there are certain things you did before that you can’t live down with me. I’m sure there are people that are will accept that, but I wouldn’t. Just like some dudes have said on this very blog they wouldn’t marry a woman that used to strip. I have a right to my preferences. You’re right it’s a 2 way street. Hopefully if a guy chose to deal with a woman that was promiscuous or used to sell her body or shoot up drugs, he would look out for himself as well.
That’s just a world I want nothing to do with, Exiled. I have friends that have done time and I accept them. Doesn’t mean I have to marry them though. I have a right to be choosy in that respect just like you men do. Not the kind of guy I would take home to family.

C – you have a cousin there? just one? lol. right now, I’ve got three cousins inside. one for murder, one for robbery and another on drug charges. I’ve got a few others sitting in county jails doing “short time”. I have two that just dodged bullets. one was facing attempted murder/aggravated robbery charges. he sat in county for a year. charges were reduced and he got time served. another just had similar charges dismissed.
EX – I watch lock up all the time too but I’m not caught up on the inmates. there are just as many men walking around creeping with each other that have never even been in trouble with the law. is one really any better than the other?
