Dating: Reformed player?

Some single people get a bad dating reputation because of past mistakes. Whether it’s breaking hearts or breaking cars, we have all done things we are particularly proud of. There are some things that are harder to live down though.

When you decide to grow up and start “dating responsibly” you probably will face a few challenges in cleaning up your rep. Do people believe you when you tell them that you have changed? A lot of people won’t! You probably will have to show them more than tell them.

A friend of mine found out that she is seeing a guy who has quite a bad dating record. The things people have told her about him so far are enough to fill up a soap opera. Of course, she does not see this side of him at all. He has convinced her that everything she heard was when he was young and dumb. Maybe he is a reformed player?

Do you think there is such a thing as a reformed player? Someone who has learned from their mistakes and cleaned up their act?

Are you reformed? How can one tell for sure that the person they are seeing has turned over a new leaf?

Slim! You’re right its hard to get back on track when you break the routine. I’m always amazed how fast you lose the conditioning

Leggs – It really threw me for a loop too. Now the beau is from Miami but he rather eat rice over any other type of starch. I fried some pork chops one day and made some garlic & herb angel hair pasta to go with it and he was like, I’ve never seen that before. lol

Robert everyone has to live their life to make them happy, not by what someone else thinks is good for them, If you like it, I love it. Especially after 40 it’s time to start living for you, not by others standards.

Atl Guy – I really don’t eat gray that often. I was saying earlier that the restaurant we went to as kids served steak, sauteed in gravy on biscuits. We’re talking rice right now. I can’t eat just plain rice or even with butter. The only time I have it is there’s some sort of meat that’s served with a thickening or gravy. I’ll put some of that on the rice.

Chicken and rice, steak and rice, back to chicken and rice, stew beef and rice, back to chicken and rice. I use to spend the weekend with them and it was a sure thing we would have rice…lol

rice with bacon and eggs sounds weird.

That garlic and herb angel hair pasta is good (and I don’t really care for angel hair pasta).

From what I’ve seen, that is the combo for meatloaf. I fix the peas with it to, but I have a side of broccoli for myself. I will pick every cotton picking pea out of chinese fried rice before I put fork to mouth. I will have a napkin full of peas on the side.

leggs – I can see how you might have been worrisome. I’ve said repeatedly I have little patience for picky eaters. grown ups kind of get a pass because they are grown but kids – zero tolerance. I love mashed potatoes and I’ll eat them with just about any vegetable that got served up in our house. peas, corn, squash, broccoli, whatever. bring it on.
