Dating: Reformed player?

Some single people get a bad dating reputation because of past mistakes. Whether it’s breaking hearts or breaking cars, we have all done things we are particularly proud of. There are some things that are harder to live down though.

When you decide to grow up and start “dating responsibly” you probably will face a few challenges in cleaning up your rep. Do people believe you when you tell them that you have changed? A lot of people won’t! You probably will have to show them more than tell them.

A friend of mine found out that she is seeing a guy who has quite a bad dating record. The things people have told her about him so far are enough to fill up a soap opera. Of course, she does not see this side of him at all. He has convinced her that everything she heard was when he was young and dumb. Maybe he is a reformed player?

Do you think there is such a thing as a reformed player? Someone who has learned from their mistakes and cleaned up their act?

Are you reformed? How can one tell for sure that the person they are seeing has turned over a new leaf?

Cely that was syrup for the century back then. You still can find some in small grocery stores. And the Karo syrup was like a medicine than a syrup, you could use that stuff for any ailment.

They don’t make syrup as thick as they use to make it. That thick syrup is the real thing

I tried to get my kid to share a sub with me from Publix and she didn’t eat it. The only thing about Publix’s sub is sometimes the bread is too hard. Once I bought the ingredients and made subs at home…not bad

As far as running and working out, I sort of fell off for about a month and a half. I promised myself to get in there at some point this week. My bestie just had her baby last night so i’m excited to get to the hospital to see her later on today. I’m the only one that doesn’t have any kids now that I think about it.

Lets see where ya’ll at on here. Cane syrup was/still disgusting. I think you bought Alaga in the glass bottle if I remember right. Straight nasty. Homemade Vinergar oil spashed over the collard greens nasty. I was told I was to picky to be raised in the south. lol. Chicken and biscuits in the morning was the best breakfast ever or fatback. mmm

My grandmother used to use that Alga syrup and of course Mrs Buttersworth. I never cared for Pepper sauce that folks put on their greens since hot sauce is fine with me. And I have had fish and rice for breakfast but never biscuits and gravy

I guess I should leave reformed folks alone. sure folks can change but I sure as heck ain’t gonna take their word for it. I used to be a player/burglar/rapist/pimp/carjacker/insert other shenanigan here but I don’t do that no more.

I can get with some fish and rice or fish and grits. one chick threw me off once. her family is big on fish and spaghetti. until then I’d never heard of that combo.

@Single & Happy – Most Men over 40 should already be on the preventive health plan for diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol – Man Killers. If he is not please take him to the doctor and ask his doctor to check him out. Eating a proper diet of fruit and vegatables and working out can control and prevent Man Killer health problems.

I believe folks can reform. I do. I will say if a playa, a true playa haven’t had a “come to Jesus” moment, then I’m not believing they’re reformed.

You would have to know a person’s past to know if they were indeed reformed or not. You may be dating reformed players and not even know it or you may be dating a player and not know until you realized that you have been played. Guys get caught, women don’t. ;)
