Dating: Faking it?
One of the many challenges of a new relationship is figuring out the other person’s quirks. You can only put your best foot forward so long before you have to let it all hang out. This can be a great thing, though! Well, until you start to wonder what was real and what was fake.
You know I always say that you meet the person’s “dating representative” in the first couple of weeks of dating them. The dating rep is supposed to reel you in, but what happens when the rep leaves?
A friend of mine is trying to determine how much was real and how much is fake in his new woman. Specifically, he is wondering if she was faking the Big O – early in the relationship, or is she faking it now. Apparently, there are stark differences and he doesn’t know what to make of it.
Would you want to know if someone was faking it in bed? Do you think you would come out and ask if they were?
When it comes to sex and dating, where does the real vs. fake come into play before you know the real person? How do you know when someone is being authentic or fake with you?

Here’s my question…why is it that you (Bluzy) are entitled to TLC for the scenarios you’ve painted when none of us get that? These dudes on here will clown and tag a woman for being a ho in a minute. Why do you have to be different? Why folks gotta walk on eggshells around you. I think the other side of this is you’re in the real world. No one is going to baby you through life. I don’t mean this to be mean but do you see any of those dudes giving a hoot about you?? NO?? That’s all we’re saying. Take some of that offense you’re throwing back to the blog and hand it to some of those dudes mistreating you. I think everything everyone has said (soft, hard, rude..whatever) has been in your best interest, as best as a person can give virtually and without knowing you.
I don’t get women that get mad at other women but will let a man drag you through the dirt. That’s who you need to be mad at.

Before I comment on the topic I have to get something off my chest.
Bluz- I’m not gonna even get into your situation. I will say your timing SUX. As a Man, we have a day where the blog ladies are talking about big O’s, lil O’s, carpet burns and skinny dipping. We were in MLB heaven. Then you spring this couch session on us. Save that for a slow day. We building momentum for shenanigans. Ho ho’s and creme filling yesterday and then O’s today. Stop it I say. Today aint the day for Dr. Phil.

@ Sassy…I guarantee it, but it isn’t talked about much because it screws with a man’s head. Copping a ‘tude isn’t attractive, and being a doormat isn’t attractive…but an “ice maiden” is confusing AND alluring to most men. A subtle smile, coupled with an air of aloofness is the ultimate tease…a man can’t tell if he is in or out, but it is a challenge. I personally am normally too lazy to try, but show me a side that isn’t “come get me’ or “fug your very much’ and I am drawn like a moth to a flame.

@Bluz: When I started posting on the blog, it was after the break-up with the ex (the one who called). My very first day here, a blogger said I had a victim mentality. I was offended then, and had many more opportunities to be offended over the next few months. But you know what I have learned about the blog?
1. Have a thick skin
2. The bloggers’ wisdom was gained the hard way. They are sharing in an effort to help others avoid the same pain.
3. People here laugh and cut up with one another, but (almost all!) are kind, intelligent, humorous folks that make the day go by much more pleasantly.
So, all that to say do you remember yesterday when I asked if you had thought about spending time getting to know you? That thought still stands. Once you know you, it’s easy to know your worth and what you will or will not allow in relationships.
Okay, that’s all I have.

Re the aloofness, I suspect that is why Angelina Jolie is so desirable to so many men. She retains an air of aloofness that makes her stand out in a city with thousands of women who are just as or more beautiful. In that movie with Johnny Depp, The Tourist wasn’t it?, i wanted to jump through the screen and I don’t even particularly like her. It is the way she carries herself that draws much of the attention.

ITL – Yeah that was me but I haven’t read it yet. My sister is reading it now…i love to read so i’ll need to be near my thunder stash to get the monkey off my back that reading that book will do. I remember the very first time I ever read a book or novel that contained adult situations. I was on a plane and the previous passenger must have left their book in the magazine rack. So i just skimmed through the pages until I really started reading some very descriptive scenarios that had me wanting to excuse myself to the plane laboratory lol A book allows you to use your imagination in a way that watching a video of fugging cannot do.
