Do you argue too much?

I have a friend who tells me that he has noticed a disturbing trend in the last few months. A lot of the women he has met turn out to be rather argumentative. He is not opposed to debate and spirited conversations, but he flat out refuses to engage in an argument about politics, religion, etc.

I am somewhat surprised that he has managed to attract or be attracted to someone who is argumentative. He is laid back, extremely mellow, and is not one to be excitable. Is this a case of opposites attract?

Do you think that there is a difference between debating and arguing?

Have you ever dated the type of person who seems to enjoy fighting, or arguing? Has anyone ever told you that you argue way too much?

I have to ask, I’m sorry: Are you a lover of a fighter?!

Happy Friday!

It’s been years since I went but they have shows, the big turkey legs, folks walk around in full character just like the Renaissance era…it’s just something different to do. They used to have a corn maze too but not sure if they still do. I’m thinking about taking my sister and little niece before it’s over (running now until June 3rd) And this weekend only, all kids under 12 free but it’s one child per paid adult.

Happy Friday Folks, what’s the bidness in here….On topic, I fall into the Lover category, but I can get down if needed, I love a good debate, but I don’t do the competitive arguing, the problem with arguments is that they never settle anything, you can kick and scream all you want, but nothing is ever resolved with that level of emotion. Until two parties can sit down and TALK, the problem will persist…I mediate for a living, so arguing just doesn’t work with me personally.

Are we still on topic???

““if he don’t hit me that means he don’t love me” – I know a grown woman who physically fights with her man on the regular. She is like pitbull in the ring. A real fire storm who doesnt back down. Holes in walls, scars on arms, face, even had a black eye. She finally divorced him and is now involved with another that beats her the same way. Good thing we aren’t friends so I no longer have to hear or witness her pain! It “appears” to be the only life she knows.

Ain’t that the truth because when I go to the Library every kid in the neighborhood is there. The employees say if it will keep them busy and out of trouble, we’ll take them. One lady said some parents drop their kids off as soon as the doors open and come back at closing time. That’s a dang shame. And for some of those chicken heads it’s not just on kids it’s all of them…3 or 4 (sisters and brothers). There’s not a time I go in there when every computer is in use and there are little kids as young as five sitting at the little microphish (or whatever they’re called), doing some sort of activity. Kids waiting in line to use the computers, others with magazines or books. If one gets idle..lol…they (being the adult workers), will say hey baby get a book, don’t just sit there…lol I think it’s a dang shame though

Okay I went waaaay to the left on this one :)

I just can’t fathom running around all day and just leaving my kid (especially while still being a little one) off on others. Some days they’re outside cutting up. Bet before it’s over with somebody gonna get into trouble with the law. This is a new library and sits in a small newly built shopping center. There are other stores. Somebody’s gonna get tempted to break or steal something….watch Too when I pulled up last week (I go maybe once or twice in a two week period), a BOY had his pants pulled up on his crotch so you can see his imprint. With the other kids looking on and giggling. He looked no more than 15 and was FLAMED

@Celisea ~ I had friends say when mine was younger that I should get a babysitter and hang out. I would tell them, I’m a parent now and I need to hang out with her to make sure she grows up the way I want her to grow up and not by me hanging out not paying attention. I had a different watch now.

Lady – So I’ve heard the “grill master’ term thrown out there at least twice today. So when are you going to throw down for the WLB and let us taste some of that good good? :D

Let me just tell yall, I went to a cookout a few weeks ago and I had the tastiest grilled treat. They took some red potatoes and boile them a little with seasoning, sauted some mushrooms, zuccini & squash in garlic, butter and Mrs Dash. Then they took all that and put a little of that concoction in separate little foil huts and threw them on the grill with mozzerella cheese on top. OMG! The best ever! I had to keep trying for at least 3 to 4 hrs to get the recipe out of them

BF, add me to the list of well wishers for your mom: very glad she’s doing well.
Debating is good if you learn something meaningful after it’s done.
Arguing to determine who can cuss and shout the most……not interested.

My wife’s father taught her to assume everybody is a SOB until proven otherwise.
In the early years, that caused some friction but with age comes maturity and couple
rounds of counseling also helped. ;-)

Lady, the birds now have two all pro corner backs…..looking good on defense.
Hate we lost Lofton…..especially to the Aints LOL
