Worst relationship ever?

A friend ran into his former girlfriend recently and the conversation quickly became intense. While he believed the relationship from years ago ended amicably, she saw things differently. She explicitly stated he was her “worst relationship experience” and thanked him for showing his “true colors” to her.

Ouch! You know that saying that there is your side, their side, and somewhere in the middle, is what actually happened, right? In this case, from his perspective, his slight case of commitment phobia was a minor inconvenience to their budding romance. The way she saw things, he strung her along with false hope and mixed signals.

Just goes to show you that we never know when we were someone’s misadventure! What do you consider your worst relationship? What did you learn from the experience?

Happy Friday!

Diva overall I can’t really recall an experience suich as the aforementioned but I’d guess any experience could be the mark for learning the shoulds versus the should nots.

hmmmmm showing “true colors”……….people are who they are and when they show you the unscripted please believe it……………I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt but with time their true intentions and persons reflect. Same with me. Guess most present with the representative but that is short lived………..still pondering the worst…………Oh I remember one back from college. Not getting into the major details but now that I think about it when I saw him again my reaction was very similar to the lady’s above. Just couldn’t believe how it played out then but now it all makes sense. ………#gamesweplay #smirk

Good morning.

I can’t recall any really bad relationships simply because I haven’t been in many. Lessons are learned in any relationship. There’s always a silver lining in the midst of chaos. It’s up to you to find it and learn from it.

In hindsight, there is a silver lining but it takes getting out of the forest sometimes to be able to see the trees. When you’re in the midst of the ordeal, it can be hard to have clarity especially if hurt, disappointment or anger is still lingering.

Exactly, Sim. Once clarity occurs you’re able to see the entire forest. It does take time, but you will be able to see the beauty.

Morning Gang!

I’ve had some downright horrible relationships. I am sure the dudes involved will have selective memory, like the dude in Diva’s example. Either way, they are water under the bridge now and I don’t feel like rehashing. That will be like giving them a new life and they are not deserving of that. All this “lessons learned” from failed relationships is crap to me too. I’d rather have learned the lessons a different way than deal with those sorry dudes, thank you very much. Keep your lessons! Yay to the happy present and hopeful future!! :)

What’s in store for your weekends?

Lady – Soccer for both kids at noon on Sat. at different parks! I’m taking the boy cause his is the closest & hubs will take baby girl. After that, my favorite neighborhood coffee spot is having their spring festival, where they have music and crafts and such, so I will grab baby girl & we will attend. On Sat and/or Sun we will hit one of our martial arts classes.

Just chillin! :)

Morning lovelies,

Worst relationship? Mmmmm, nothing to dish about I guess. Kid’s dad I’d say if I had to pick and chose? Honestly though, for all that went wrong I would attribute that to us both being young and a lack of knowledge. Me being the “you can’t tell me jack” chick behind him and his inability to seek better. He had no direction, didn’t want any direction wasn’t seeking direction. Only wanted to live in the now. Even though I didn’t know a lot then, I did have enough sense to know I wanted him to lead but he didn’t know how.

I too have only had minimal relationships but all long term. This is probably the longest I’ve gone not being in something solid. For my past relationships, all were pretty decent and classy dudes. I’m not dealing with anything less. I would say though things didn’t work out due to bad timing, on different pages/places in life, etc. Not some dude living to show me his ass daily. Ummm, that ain’t gonna happen even now….lol

I’m happy in my life and I wouldn’t change a thing. I don’t envy others and I don’t live on the outside wishfully looking in. I have a nice “guy” right now and that’s all I’ll call it. Y’all surprised? LOL I don’t try and look beyond today in where things will go. I won’t compromise and I won’t have a “worst story ever” to tell because any sign of that and it’s snip snip. I won’t die if it don’t stick either.

Dang it…I typed up a long paragraph and it got blocked…

My worst relationship was with Psycho in Seattle. He is a bipolar musician who did not have insurance to go to the doctor and get on the right medicines and therapy. I am on the board of a bipolar research fund, so I thought I could handle it. He was emotionally abusive to me (luckily, he lived across the country because he probably would have tried to be physically abusive). I stayed in the relationship for 5.5 months because he was trying to get the resources to be able to go to the doctor, but he never followed through. The last straw was a night that a friend of mine committed suicide…I was on the phone with him and he asked me if I had ever slept with the friend. I hung up on him and said not to contact me. He then had the nerve to threaten to take a bunch of pills and claimed to have gone to the hospital. I told him to call someone else because I wasn’t going to handle that. He never did show me proof that he went to the hospital. It was just pure craziness!

I do believe that he was brought into my life for a reason, though. He really showed me that bipolar musicians do need help and it renewed my passion for the bipolar fund.

hey y’all. kimmie you tickle me. while I don’t sign on to the lessons learned philosophy I wouldn’t have gone as far as calling it crap. lol. keep ya lessons. I love it!!! I don’t know that I could claim any really, truly raggedy relationships even though I can call out one or two raggedy guys. naturally I call them raggedy in hindsight because I obviously didn’t think that at the time.

o/t – this morning I gave a neighborhood girl a ride to the bus stop. it’s a nice little trek to the main street where the school bus picks up. she must have been late because she came out the door flying. when I dropped her off she said thank you and God bless you. I was touched because I don’t think I’ve ever had a child say God bless you to me outside of in response to a sneeze.

HiYas!

is it all lovelies blogging today? i’m not surprised; given the topic.

i have a very small pool of exes to pull from, so i’m just gonna go with the ex-hubs as the worst ever. for the simple fact that the non-stop cheating was so disrespectful. and refusing to stay gainfully employed was annoying as hell.
other than that, i’ve had mostly good times with all my run-ins over the years.

 @ celisea. you should be penning some memoirs, young lady.

Morning All,

Topic – Time for reflection hunh. Well as I step on the stand and clear my throat. I can’t honestly say I’ve been the recipient or the victim of a BR. The one that got away in college was dirty yeah but it was because of my aloofness and arrogance. I took/take full responsibility for that one. It gave me an excuse to be the monster that I already was.
Now as I reflect in hindsight I may have been several worst relationships. I see now even with the disclaimers given of not being ready to be in a relationship that I probably strung a few along. I’ve never been in the heartbreak business but I do know that I’ve caused quite a bit of heartache. I can’t go back and change any of it and I don’t have a list of wrongs to make right. Unfortunately it is what it is and I sincurly apologize for that.

Whew, with that being said. What’s hapn? Friday is NOT the time to dwell on past failures. I’m in some kinda mood and will start my w/e right now.

and if i turn the microscope on myself, i’d say the 19-year-old senior i dated when i was a 13-year-old freshman might be the only dude with complaints. he was convinced we should marry and have lots of babies. introduced me to all his friends and fam as his soon-to-be wife.
i think that’s when i began perfecting my casper moves.

oh, i’m sure the ex-hubs has some rancorous sh!t to say about me, but who really cares?
