Dating mistakes: Caught snooping?
What would you do if you were invited to your date’s house for the first time and they found you snooping? One of our readers decided to go on an a fact finding mission in her date’s house. He sort of caught her red handed and she made some excuse up, but she could read the disappointment on his face!
I have to admit, I have been where she is. In my case, I suspected he wasn’t truly divorced and I turned out to be right. Had I been wrong though, I don’t know how I could have recovered. It is difficult and embarrassing to admit to someone you don’t trust them or believe what they tell you.
How do you recover from dating mistakes? If you really like someone, do you try to confess and explain?
Have you ever been caught snooping for information about your date? What did you do? How would you react if you walked in on your date snooping through your things?

I posted here a few months back under Almost divorced. I’m offically divorces now. I was online paying the cell phone. It was more than the usual amount so I checked the records to see what caused this overage. At the time I didn’t send nor receive text messages. My ex husband had all these text messages and a 20 min phone call at 5:00 am on a Sunday morning. He had recently confessed to a one night stand and looking at the calendar it was on this weekend. So I was crazy lady and called the number. I knew then that the marriage was over. I had never snooped before in 6 years of dating and 7 years of marriage. I refused to make myself crazy worrying about what someone else is going to do.

How did I recover from dating mistakes?
The times I have messed up I never got a chance to recover. I stopped hearing from guys and that was it. I’ve apologized on the spot, but I’ve found most men to be unforgiving. Or they will forgive, but move on to someone else.
Could be their loss or mine, either way, I am a believer in stuff happening for a reason.

Just plain wow. If I had ever discovered some chick rummaging through my stuff, that would have been the end, period. What on earth would ever make anyone think that was acceptable? Privacy much? Sheesh.

It’s just such a violation to go thru someones things. When I was in college, in summer school, my apt got broken into. The robbers turned everything out of my closets & drawers. They ended up not stealing anything, but I remember feeling completely violated.

On topic: I don’t snoop around other people’s things and really woudln’t want that done to me. It’s disrespectful and a violation of trust and privacy. If you pay attention and bide your time, usually you will find out what you want to know without crossing any lines.

I am good.Yes, I graduated and passed the GA bar. However, the wife and I now live near Philly, PA. We still have our house in the ATL. We are renting it out to some Morehouse College students since house is not far from campus.
Also, you can tell Raqi that her dust eventually did the trick and then some. We are expecting twins in June.
