Most embarrassing date?

If you have spend any time on the dating scene, you will embarrass yourself on a date. It’s one of those things that happens inevitably, because we are human. We try to put our best foot forward, impress our date, and present a great image because we want them to like us. Sometimes, things go awry and the next thing you know you are trying to play off a slip, fall, or foot-in-mouth comment.

I think embarrassing moments on a date can be a blessing in disguise, though! How you recover and handle the situation can actually impress your date more, endear you to them, and break the tension a little.

What is the most embarrassing moment you have experienced on a date? How did you recover from it?

Have you ever been stuck with someone who embarrassed you? Was it something they did that ruined their chances with you?

Happy Friday!

Diva I can’t recall any moments where I was embarrassed and need to bury with me. I can however think of someone who I wouldn’t have mind dropping down a black hole (lol). Maybe I’ll have an opportunity to come back later during my workday with details.

Good day!

Morning,

I’m tired this morning…late night last night…

On topic: Nothing that I can recall off the top of my head so much so that it’s a “ya gotta here this” story. If there were any major faux pas and hiccups and mishaps it must have been much much younger. Here of late and over the last decade I’ve done well with mate selection :) So no, nothing asinine to report…lol

You CANNOT abuse the body and it won’t eventually take it’s toll. The body is a temple and should be treated as such. Whether it’s drugs or something phyiscal and I’d venture further to say even sex. You cannot do harmful things and it not come back on you. So sad to hear the toxicology results on Whitney.

Celisea

Slim – I didn’t hear that. I’d be very interested in knowing those results. Too, what about the condition of her heart? I bet she didn’t know. Maybe if she’d known she would have been more apprehensive in taking all that stuff. Weed, blow, pills, alcohol…. That’s a lot for the body to take.

I read the article about Whitney this morning. So sad. And, like the coroner said, you are not going to drown like that UNLESS you are incapacitated in some way. I’m not a doctor, but I think the years of abuse were finally just more than her body could take and it gave out.

good morning. I can’t think of anything overly embarrassing that happened to me. I do remember once when I was really young (probably 19/20) that I was totally embarrassed at having spilled some kind of sauce on my shirt. that type of thing isn’t a big deal now. I have a friend who said she went over to a guy’s house to watch movies (etc.) and he ended up with a bad case of the “bubblies”. she said he kept excusing himself and she was embarrassed for him.

Even though there was water in her lungs, it sounded to me like she was dead already. Remember before the reports came out, they were saying it was not enough water in her lungs to conclude she’d drowned.

Morning All!

Can’t really remember anything that stands out. The only time I can remember being truly embarrassed was when my bf at the time claimed he “left his wallet in the car” and we had to leave a dinner with some of his friends. I say “claimed” because he enough money in his pocket to buy our drinks. But when the menu came and he took a look at it, we had to leave. And we are talking about a moderately priced place, nothing was over $25 on the menu, most entrees in the mid-teens. He had horrible money management skills. I was embarrassed and disgusted. He drove me home in silence.

Cel – Well if blow, pills, weed etc was a regular part of her life, I would doubt that she’d quit or slow down too much even if she did know the condition of her heart. When you’re on stuff, you tend to feel invincible or either just don’t really care about all that.

I had an embarassing moment in HS but never on a date. I had on a dress and put my book bag on my back as was customary then. However, the book bag snagged the bottom of the back of my dress and I went to lunch. Everyone had seen my rear the whole time in the lunch line until someone told me my ass was showing and my dress was up.

as for general embarrassment – I’ve got a few good trips/falls under my belt. once a few years ago it was a little chilly but I was stalling on turning on the heat because gas prices were crazy. I had my arms tucked into my sweatsheart and went to climb the stairs. messed around and missed a step and tripped but couldn’t catch myself because my arms were in my shirt. my stairwell curves and so instead of falling straight up I fell head first into the wall.

I’m heading out in the morning to look for my kid’s Easter suit. We always have a HUGE program and it’s sort of geared to the teenagers. We have little kiddies but they have small roles. Our program is always Easter night so they’re up on stage and off and knocked out by 7:30…lol So the rest of the program is skits one main play and singing. So they’re all dudded up (and no I know that’s not what Easter is all about) with suits, hair styles and pumps. We’ve had a few that tried to slide in with what looks like CFMPs.

So, I’ll try and knock that out in the morning.

I think my most embarrasing moment is when I went out on a date on only had one pants leg ironed on my slacks. My date pointed it out to me LOL

Off Topic, My brothers, father and I got back in town after a week yesterday and one of the bulls, a stud, was out in the field roaming. I asked the wife why he was out there and she said he was not mating he was just in there goring the heifers and making a lot of noise so they seperated him and left him in the field. This morning about 4am I am out loading feed and the darn thing decides to charge me from about 30 yards away. All of a sudden I hear a rifle crack and see the bull drop. Wifey said she was worried about how the bull was acting so she was watching while I was working this morning and saw him coming at me and shot him. That was a dead on 50-60 yard head shot with a 30-6!!

I had a “wardrobe malfunction” back when I was about 10. We were at I think Lake Lanier. I had on this little halter swimsuit and luckily all I had at the time were some mosquito bites up top. Anyway, this little boy kept messing with me on the beach. Finally I had had enough and went to swinging on his behind in the shallow water. I was in full windmill mode! I looked over on the beach where my mom & sister were sitting and they were falling out laughing. I look down and my swimsuit had come down to my waist!

Leggs/disco – When I was a pre-teen my mom took my sister and I to the park to try out our new inline skates. I had not mastered the braking system and ended up picking up too much speed down this little hill. Next thing I know I’m trying to carefully veer off to grab this little tree off to the side. It was like it happened in slow motion where my mom was trying to fun behind me to help but she was overcome with laughter as I flew over into the ditch because the “TREE” was actually just a flimsey bush that did no justice to break my speed. A classic pump is that…classic. You can never go wrong. You can go wide heel, skinny heel, rounded toe, pointed (my preference) toe, sharply pointed toe…just can’t go wrong. A suit, a dress, skirt and blouse…with or without hose.

disco – I’m with you on the pumps, so if you get shot I do too! There has to be something else going on – a peeptoe or sling or pointy toe or something!

Leggs – I got some nice navy patent slings a year ago. They may be Nine West too, I have to check.

I think I only got the white patents a time or two, because my mom got tired of polishing the scuff marks off of them. To this day she still tells me how hard I am on shoes. :)

I love a peep toe. Wish I had on a pair now, to show off my St. Patty’s day green polish. But how about the lady getting rings in her nails when I was at the salon??? And then she goes on and on about how much “her friend” loves it and how he’s going to pay her for it. Ummmm, okay. But she did have on cute shoes (a pair of blue and white gingham peep-toe wedges), so I couldn’t be too mad.

I have a pair of Nine West pointed slingbacks, a pair of AK slingbacks and a pair of Unisa peeptoed slingbacks. But that’s it for slingbacks. I love flats about as equal as I love heels :) I only have two pairs of wedgys. The rest are several pairs of pumps, flats, thong sandals, slides…and let’s not forget FLIP FLOPS :) Oh, I do have a couple pairs of high heel Mary Janes. NW is what I do mostly because I like they way they look on my feet.

The secret to wearing “thong” sandals/shoes is getting a pair where the part between the toe is flat/thin. If you buy a pair of shoes where that piece has any width at all, it’s gonna hurt like a mug. If you can find a pair where it’s as flat as the spacing between your toes, you won’t notice.

I have a pair of Joan and David thong sandals that I bought 2 years ago and probably will wear until they snap. They are oh so comfy.

@Sassy: It doesn’t hurt as bad as you might think, but I’m not gonna lie to you, there are parts that hurt like a mug. It’s totally worth it, though. As a friend of mine said, “it feels so good, I can’t stop touching it!”

Sassy – Get out of my head! We were just talking about the Brazilian waxing yesterday but neither of us have tried it. I’m pretty good with the eye brow waxing but cannot fathom getting my herrs ripped out of the CT like that. Once I pulled a string thinking it was a piece of thread and turns out it was a gray hair. That ONE TEENIE TINY HAIR being pulled hurt like HEYAL!…plus, not sure how i’d feel with some person with hot wax all up in my cooch garden

Lady – Speaking of corporate….I’ve got a recruiter that’s been hot on my tail this week…we’ve talked about 3 times and communicated via email. He sent me a request to connect on LinkedIn…. I’m a bit disappointed though because we were suppose to talk by end of week. Anyway, I told him no less than 15 grand and a signing bonus to pack it up. Funny too because this is the same company that I’ve tried over the last year to get noticed. I’ve gotten hits on my resume but nothing that’s hooked. I was blown over when he mentioned the company.

@Sassy ~ I had it done, it does sting, I won’t lie. When finished, you are so clean (except for the landing strip). I thought mine to be quite pretty (lolol, I did). When the hair grows back, it’s baby fine (well mine came back that way). I was a little woozy when I left Spa Sydell…Go for it, then go get a drink.

Kimmie: At Huey’s, they use the Peppar, and Whiskey Willie’s mixer. Season salt on the rim, and served with an olive, pickled okra, celery, and a slice of lemon. I also highly recommend Zing Zang mixer – it’s made by Lea & Perrin’s, and is the shizzle.

Lady, I found you some cute shoes at Zappo’s. :)

@Sassy – try it, just once. I do recommend leaving a “landing strip” though, since that (believe it or don’t) is the area that hurts the worst. Even the hiney didn’t hurt like that.

Spend more time with those who make you smile and less time with those who you feel pressured to impress.

Never tell someone their dreams are impossible. You’ll feel like a fool when they prove you wrong.

No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.

Pursuing happiness by acquiring material things (fancy cars, expensive jewelry, designer clothing) is like jogging to the grocery store on your treadmill: it won’t get you anywhere.

Laugh at stupid jokes. Apologize. Tell someone how much they mean to you. It’s the small moments that make life grand.

Life is way more enjoyable when you stop trying to be cool and simply focus on being yourself.

Start by asking yourself whether each of your relationships drags you down or lifts you up.

Surrounding yourself with positive, loving people is half the battle of living a happy, successful life.

When the ‘want’ gets stronger, the ‘how’ gets easier.

Too often we judge people on too little information. Instead of judging someone for what they do or where they are in their life, figure out why they do what they do and how they got to where they are.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND MIA! ;)

Bye C!!!

Peace~

@Swiss: You were too busy thinking about the salad Mrs. Swiss is gonna “serve” you for dinner. :)

Once a month is not unreasonable. Especially to keep any stubble down to a minimum. 5 o’clock shadow on the vajayjay is not a cute look. Besides, it itches like CRAZY when it starts to grow back, and you don’t wanna be dancin’ around like you have ants in your pants. :)
