Ex Files: Rebounding necessary?

According to entertainment reports, singer Rihanna has become a moth to Chris Brown’s flame. Apparently, the two collaborated on two songs and he was even spotted at her birthday bash.

Reading about their reunion made me think about those exes that we can’t get out of our system. It is tough when we should be moving on but are too hung up on someone. Maybe the only way to nudge you along is to find a new person right away.

People often take time after break ups to heal or to regroup, but maybe some of us could actually benefit from a love-life palate cleanser. Someone to distract us from dwelling on the recent break up and prevent us from sliding back to a bad habit or toxic relationship.

I think I have had some of my best dates with guys who were the rebounders – because I welcomed the attention and just appreciated the company. There was no pressure to move things along to the next level, so the only goal was to laugh and have fun.

When you are dating someone new, do you ever ask when their latest relationship ended?

Do you want to know if you are the first post-break up/divorce date? Would it change how you perceived their potential?

Happy Friday!

Bluz: I can remember many a night jamming with Mudcat and friends. One night at Darwins, I ended up with the tambourine and played so long I bruised the heel of my hand. LOL I think that was the same night Little Joe (the trombone player, don’t know if you know him) and his wife led a conga line around Darwins. Good times.

Celisea, it makes no difference to what amount you have in your tank when you add fuel related to consumption.

There are problems that can occur from constantly keeping your tank low but this usually isn’t associated with daily drivers.

ITL…I know Mudcat real well! There were many times I also bruised myself playing the tambourine and hurt myself playing the washboard. Mudcat is the one who got me into the blues scene and taught me a lot about the music industry. I used to do booking for him. My favorite spot was a place in Destin…when they played there, I got to go with them!!! You and I have probably crossed paths!

Gas is really going up because of these middle east tensions,Syria and Iran.

I bet the insurance premiums for the shippers are going thru the roof..and the consumer gets the passdown effect.

Gas has gone up even when George was in the oval office

Wonder how the GOPs saw it then

Here them speak now u would thunk they have a magic bullet.

One dude on msnbc,at the suggestion that Newt would get gas down to 2$ said the only thing Newt can bring down are his ’sagging’ pants, just so he can nail another woman and cheat on his wife!

Ouch!!!!!!

Just so all of you know today’s fuel will not last over 30 days. Not saying it won’t work but it reaks havoc on fuel systems. Ethanol is very corrosive and has a short shelf life. Never keep gas for over 30 days and if you do add Stay-Bil.

I try my best to not let it get a little past half before refueling. When we had those long lines waiting to fill up, I never had to wait in one. I kept my tank full so when I did need to pull in and saw a line, I was free to drive on.

Hey Ex when all that simmer down over in the east, the petroleum companys will find a new threat (Venezuela) so they can keep gas on the rise.

I use Sea-Foam in every tank. However, Sea-Foam is a detergent and Sta-Bil is for storage. I have some cars that don’t get a 1k miles a year and most of them have to have a half a tank of fuel to avoid problems.

I love Sea-foam.

That is not why gas is going up. Gas is ging up because pumps are shutting down for the transistion of winter blends and additives to the summer blends and additives. Production can not be maintained at the same rate during this transition. Lower production equals higher prices

However, you know I’d buy ya Sea-Foam Lady..save some GS cookies for me… ;)

Also this is the time of year that most refineries do upkeep. So that means more refineries are down which means less production. Prices will go back down around the end of May. That’s why spring/summer gas always seems more expensive than winter gas.

Lady buy an aftermarket (high flow) CC if you can…so much cheaper and any decent muffler shop can do it for $200 installed. Plus, because its high flow, it will get better gas mileage.

You can also buy a code reset for $80 at most auto stores. If you have emissions soon and want the easy way out – undo the battery for 20 minutes by the emissions station – then your computer will reset – no codes until +/- 50 miles.

My most expensive car never passes emissions…I had to register it in FL.

Boy, these kids start early these days – One of my coworkers has a 4 yr old girl. She is crazy about this little boy in her preschool. Coworker sent us a pic of them at the Valentine dance, arm-in-arm. Mind you, little girl hates wearing dresses but she wore one for her dude! And little dude had on his black shirt, black slacks and black & red tie! She gets upset when he plays with other kids and doesn’t show her attention. He’s all she talks about and little dudes mom says little girl is all he talks about! I was cracking up!!!

Blackfoote when I was in corporate and testing tolerances we had to watch and be up to speed on all of that stuff.

HST, why Florida? South Georgia, Northern Georgia and other mid parts of Georgia does not require emissions. Also which expensive cars do you have that would not pass emissions in Georgia which has the most lax emission testing in the United States? If it is an old expensive car emissions should not be a problem as they are not required to test and if it is “modern” it should pass. I am curious as to if anyone in the state of California has a car like one of your most expensive registered there. Because they have the most stringent of any place in the United States.

Lady, BMW’s suck, trust me. Never own one that’s modern (2008+) without a warranty. I just sold my 2010 335i convertible and it had so much warranty work it was pathetic. Way worse than any other car I’ve owned. Plus if BMW wants to be a prick they will but that wasn’t my experience. It was in the shop for serious warranty work 5 times in 1.5 years.
