Ex Files: Rebounding necessary?
According to entertainment reports, singer Rihanna has become a moth to Chris Brown’s flame. Apparently, the two collaborated on two songs and he was even spotted at her birthday bash.
Reading about their reunion made me think about those exes that we can’t get out of our system. It is tough when we should be moving on but are too hung up on someone. Maybe the only way to nudge you along is to find a new person right away.
People often take time after break ups to heal or to regroup, but maybe some of us could actually benefit from a love-life palate cleanser. Someone to distract us from dwelling on the recent break up and prevent us from sliding back to a bad habit or toxic relationship.
I think I have had some of my best dates with guys who were the rebounders – because I welcomed the attention and just appreciated the company. There was no pressure to move things along to the next level, so the only goal was to laugh and have fun.
When you are dating someone new, do you ever ask when their latest relationship ended?
Do you want to know if you are the first post-break up/divorce date? Would it change how you perceived their potential?

I passed the QT by my job on my way home because it’s always the highest ($3.49) on Wednesday figuring the QT by my way would still be at $3.47. Boy was I fooled. I pull up and it’s $3.55. I wanted to kick myself. So I filled up then, and now it’s $3.65.

I’m doing ok. I have my moments, which I know I will for a long time. Doing a lot of reading to try to better myself and figure out how to move on. Night time is the hardest time, but it seems to be getting a little bit better every day. Thanks for asking!

I think that some should certainly do away with their exes. Especially, if the person was harmed emotionally, physically or monetarily – what’s the point. Even if all participants change, are we really going to let go of relationship scars. I just can’t see it happening without lots of effort on both parts and complete forgiveness to move forward.
Getting your mind of an ex with break-up “fun” (sex right?)…I’ve never seen that work for any of my friends (for getting over love).
Personally, I would never ask about a recent relationship. She wouldn’t be with me if there wasn’t reason and I don’t care about her ex. I’d find it intrusive if a woman asked me such a question about my GFs. Why would she ask any such thing on the first couple of dates? It’s none of her business and I could care less about her’s unless it’s about diseases. Sounds like a bunch of jealous and insecurity on whomever’s part asking.
I like break-up “fun” (sex)! Nothing like getting drunk, losing some inhibitions and making some bad decisions with a new interest. I love rebound girls…they’re the best. Moreover, for the exact reasons Diva stated – no pressure, laughing, a good time and “fun” (sex).
The last thing I would want to talk about post divorce/break-up would be to talk about the break-up. That’s what a therapist is for or you’re closest friends. What a turn off to her some woman complain or whine about their ex. I would honestly say, ‘Miss you’re not over your ex and I’m not a therapist. Go take some time to adjust and give me a call when you’re ready.’ Everytime I’ve done that the woman calls back at some point and thanks me for my honesty. The we usually have break-up “fun”…

@WD: I love those sweet, everyday memories. My cousin and I were reminiscing last night about our moms and our granny making fudge together and how they would laugh and laugh. My granny has been gone almost 10 years, and there are still days I pick up the phone to call her.

Just passed by Shell on Covington Hwy. 3.89, 75/85 bucks goes in the tank easy at that price. My remedy is to top it off at half a tank but gas keeping going up faster than I can keep it topped off.

GS COOKIES…FML, I’m dieting hardcore right now. I haven’t had a carb (well like 20g a day) in 2 weeks. I so want GS cookies but I can’t put any in my house. I will Cookie Monster those cookies in the middle of the night. I crave sweets so bad at night.

my gas rant…
I spend $40 a day on fuel usually. My truck sucks gas and I use that to commute. My sports or super-cars get no better than an average of 11 mpg in the city and only use premium with an additive. If our fuel reaches $5 dollars a gallon I’ll be driving a Z06 daily. I can get up to 35mpg on the highway cruising @ 80mph. My problem is trying to not floor whatever I drive…
In my super-cars, I can literally watch the gauge drop with acceleration and prolonged speed. I’ve emptied tanks on the highway in 45minutes or less.
My saving grace is that I have lots of BP and APA stock and they are on the rise.

Blackfoote – I always heard it’s cheaper to refill at half a tank but I just drive and when it’s approaching the light I refill. If I drive a day with the light on it’s over 70.00 if I refill before then it’s anywhere from $66 – $70

I just came back from Germany and gas was $9.88 a gallon over there. I spent about $200 an hour driving on the Autobahn.
