What is it about men and their money?

A guy once told me that he was advised by his mother to never give women money. It seems to be a way to suss out which women wanted him as a sponsor instead of a partner. If a man showed no desire to help a woman out financially, would that be a sign that he is smart or inconsiderate?

Women today generally prefer to hold their own financially. I don’t know a lot of women who have a salary requirement for the men that they date. I wonder if they would look to test a man to see if he would be a good provider, though. How important is being a provider to women?

Do you think men today use wealth to attract women?

Guys, what are your thoughts about your money and your confidence? Are the two related?

You got that right Randyt :)

Blogging and working, doing my thang just when I hear my phone rang.
Got a client on my back asking me about the money stack.
I take a deep breathe and release a long sigh and let them know the limit is the sky
Feeling reassured that their money was safe they hung up the phone but not in my face

@Randyt ~ I love Rascal Flatts. Was watching Glee with the tall crumb snatcher last night when their opening number was a song by Melissa Ethridge. Was so surprised when she started singing along with me. I looked at her and she said “come on mommy, we know more white music than black music!” It was funny yet true.

I stand corrected…there are Rascal Flatts followers on the blog. So many of their songs hit me…I guess deep down we all have the same experiences, and just think we are the only ones.

@Randy: “Easy” is a good one. I look back at times I’ve done that, and thought, “Did my laugh sound as fake as I think it did? Did my smile seem like I was trying too hard or was it just me?” but I would’ve rather died than let him think he had me down.

@Slim Seuss: LOVE IT!! Hop on Pop and Bad, Sad, Dad will be offered in a boxed set from Amazon. LOL

Thats great Leggs. That show has some great moments. I loved it and occasionally pull up the Youtube when Gwenneth Paltrow did Stevie Nicks “Landslide”. I don’t have a clue what the words mean, but I know my story and almost every divorcee’s story is in there in the lines somehow.

@RandyT..I am gonna need you to find some happy country music..Might I recommend Shania Twain or so Carrie Underwood..wait..never mind..these lyrics are more my version of happy..

Right now he’s probably slow dancing
With a bleached-blond tramp
And she’s probably getting frisky
Right now, he’s probably buying
Her some fruity little drink
‘Cause she can’t shoot whiskey

Right now, he’s probably up behind her
With a pool stick
Showing her how to shoot a combo
And he don’t know

I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up 4 wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seat
I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights
Slashed a hole in all 4 tires
And maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats

If I didn’t have a heart, my life would be torn apart. I’m working everyday trying to fix, with all this BS in the way I resist. People tell me it will all be good, I say ok and hope that it should. I play for fun and have no grief, I live a good life without any beef. Well for now I must be gone, back under the stairs to grab my bone. I wish you well from my happy little home, if anyone needs me just ring my phone.
