It’s so funny how you start dating someone and take on some of their habits, quirks, and lifestyle. You begin to share the same behaviors, some good, some not so good. Sometimes you even become influenced by them. It’s like sexy peer pressure.
What happens when you start dating someone and pick up their bad habits? For instance, my friend Brad hated cigarettes. He meets Gina and suddenly he is not only fine with cigarettes, she has him smoking cigars! The things we do when we are blinded by love, right?
Have you ever noticed a bad habit you picked up after dating someone? Why does it seem as if we become so impressionable when the person we are seeing starts to influence our lives?
How do you know if your relationship is unhealthy and how do you handle it if it is?

Purp – since those of us still here are going to hell anyway
Ummm, speak for yourself buddy…lol I’m holding out hope. And if it’s heaven I’m trying to get in, earmufflectomies will move down on my list.

Leggs, wolves will damage some crops but we don’t grow anything they like. The do like to break in and do mass kills of livestock.

Celisea, why not in heaven? If a married couple ended up in heaven they would have limits on there angelic sex with each other?

Purp — No, I grew up baptist. Was brainwashed pretty much from birth. I actually got “saved” when I was, like, 8 or so. By the time I was about 11 or 12, I think I had pretty much realized it was all BS.

Because nothing carnal will be going on. Everything will be spirtual. No point in me hoping to get some and it ain’t even happening there. Given the two choices carnal or no, hell just ain’t on my agenda.
C’mon Purp, you tend to follow the bible pretty closely or accurately….from what I read on here…when you’ve commented

C — If by heaven, you mean the heaven as depicted in the bible, then no, actually, I have no desire to be in such a place.

Swiss! You don’t even know your head from tail at 12. How could you make an irrational decision like that. You ain’t gotta answer, that was rhetorical..sort of.

“You don’t even know your head from tail at 12. How could you make an irrational decision like that. “
C — I guess from my perspective the irrational decision would have been to willfully suspend logic & critical thinking in favor of blind faith. I don’t know… all I can tell you is by 11 or 12 I had come to the realization that what was being taught was, shall we say, highly implausible. And nothing I’ve seen / heard / experienced since has done anything but reinforce that view.

Purp – Yes I know.
Swiss – Everything with God and as it relates to faith will be intangible. If you’re waiting to see something tangible it ain’t happening. But to feel, if you got “saved” you should have felt something that will leave you “believing the rest of your days. Maybe you didn’t get “saved.” Cause if you did, trust me you would know. The spirit cannot be seen but it’s a force that controls you and you can feel it…yes indeed.
Okay bye for real…I’m waiting on someone that’s checking on a package so I’m still sitting here…but really I’m gone…lol

Well, of course not. Because there’s no such thing.

While working in a small three person office I took on the habit of drinking coffee, because everyone in the office drank coffee. No experience w/bad habits during a relationship, however, in my love life breaking up with someone has induced some unhealthy habits. I can remember picking up cigarettes after not smoking for seven years during a painful breakup! Now the relationship is over. I’m happily settled in a new healthy relationship for 3 years and JUST stopped smoking 7 days ago. Go figure, mad/hurt by you and hurt me….how’s that for no logic!
