Dating the bad girls

Like a moth to a flame, some men are into women with a little edge. I am starting to wonder why I see so many men find themselves dealing with the fallout of the “bad girls” – the ladies that present a little danger.

I don’t think you have to have danger to make things interesting in dating, but I wonder if every woman should have a little bad in her? Does it really keep things interesting to be involved with someone that has a little edge to them?

I have one friend that is always attracted to the one woman that could turn his life upside down. The more unstable they appear, the more intrigued he seems to be.

When it comes to dating the bad girls/guys, what is your comfort level? How much “bad” are you intrigued by and how much is a turn off?

Have you ever dated that type? Did you discover something about yourself?

Hey Felix… lay off the red heads. We aren’t all crazy ;-)

As for the topic at hand, I do like a little bit of a bad boy, but more say maybe one who was “bad” in the past. I like to see that my man, or future man, will hustle (legally) to feed his family. The things you did as a kid, you do not have to continue to do as an adult. You just bring that drive with you into the adult world and apply it (hustle) to making your life and your families life better.

Still doing childish things that but your family at risk as an adult is a turn off. Be a man, be real, but have some hustle about yourself.

The above got it right. In school dated several wild childs, and the sex was off the hook, but I knew even then it was just for fun, no way I was going to have a long term thing with any of them. When I got married, I got the woman who was educated, good wife and a good mother. The times with the other girls were great but nothing long term there.

I keep up with many of them on facebook and each and every one has been divorced at least twice. Sometimes that wild child just doesnt go away.

I am a catch! I come from Charlotte and I seem to only attract “bad girls”. I’ve tried the bad boy image but I think women need an honest dude who likes to stay up all night listening, opening a door for a woman, letting them take the lead in bed, cleaning, cooking etc…I can do it all. I have a great job as a telemarketer and make some good coin…I have decided to quit with the “pretty ones” and started dating the big and ugly ones. They are easier to please and can be my slave in bed. I am now happy in Atlanta because of my new “outlook” on women….There are pleanty of frumpy women in Atlanta…you just have to sniff em out….

The best date, most fun, wild child, crazy sex, loose cannon date in our high school was the preacher’s daughter. She was a knock-out, too. On a date with her, you NEVER knew where you’d end up….. A RIOT! ……..Just strap in and hold on!!!

But a wife?….no way.

TWASH, keep your options open. There are some attractive women out there that are good people and that have all of the qualities you’re looking for. In baseball, they’re called 5-tool players (hit for power, hit for average, great throwing arm, fast runner, gold glove fielder).

In my experience, I found you know you’re in a really good relationship when she’s willing to be with you – even if you’re doing something boring at the time. Also, I believe every woman has tigress in her – it’s just with some of them you have to bring it out.

Good luck in your search, but remember to keep your options open.

good morning y’all. this topic is almost like déjà vu after yesterday’s “crazy” stories. my son coined a phrase a while back when he indicated he would like to date a “ghetto goodie goodie”. he meant a girl with a street/hood background who knew how to check the street at the door. I’m the same way. I don’t want a thug but I do want a man that can be about it if he has to be. I’d hate for something to jump off only to find out I was tougher than my man.

Depends on what you consider “a little edge.” The gal who is just as comfortable in a dress and heels as she is on her Harley is “edgy” enough for me. The one who is on indefinite probation, has a recent bankruptcy, and no home, no car, no job, etc. would be a bit OVER the edge. Even though the sex might be incredible, the excess baggage is a turn off.

I dated a younger guy a year ago that was from New York….the sex was crazy good!!! He was somewhat of a bad boy but was really nice and sweet. After a while, we started having problems, and we everntually broke up because, according to him, I didn’t have enough of an edge. His ex-girlfriend had issues…multiple baby daddy’s, insanely jealous ex-boyfriend, etc., and he stayed with her for years! I now date a guy with a good heart and a little edge, but he is a gentleman that treats me like a lady. Because of that, I am a lady in public and around his family, but a freak in the bedroom!

You just ain’t lived until you’ve had a couple of credit cards and your identity stolen.

How much “bad” are you intrigued by and how much is a turn off?

Topic – Turnabout is fair. The dudes that go for these “bad girls” are the same lame-o’s that come on here whining about so many women that want the “bad boys” and don’t appreciate a good guy!LOL!!

Bottom line, vanilla is a great flavor in baking, but in life it’s bland and boring. Everyone craves a little more flavor, a little spice! Walking around blank with no personality, no life, no fun, no passion, no imagination is frankly not attractive. It won’t get you a job in a field where you need to be creative or innovative. It won’t get you a date.

But, like everything in life, that spice is best in moderation. A little edge is fantastic, but go overboard to reckless and criminal and that’s stupid.

That fantasy of the librarian that takes off her glasses and lets down that hair bun is real.

I’m not getting this “freak in the bedroom lady in the streets.” Oh I’ve heard the saying for years so I know the intent behind the saying. What I can’t seem to get away from is “wh@re/freak” is often associated with the negative according to men, yet you want a wh@re for pleasure but a lady for all else? Call me stupid…lol Since obviously I have no sunshine to add to this topic I’ll go back to lurking until it gets interesting.

Morning folks.

Yeah, this is pretty much a carry over from yesterday afternoon.

As far as the “lady on the streets, freak/wh0re in bed” sentiment, I think that’s more a case of poor semantics than anything else. If you take “freak/wh0re” to include being promiscuous, then certainly, that’s not what I want, and I’m pretty sure not what most guys would want. I do want a woman who will be completely uninhibited with me, as I’m sure every dude would want from his wife/SO.

As for the larger notion of “bad girl” or “edge” or “crazy” or whatever you want to call it. Uh, no thanks. I’ll take sanity, please.

And happily, that’s exactly what I have… :-D

Which was my point yesterday. A dude will call a woman crazy for not tolerating and yes REACTING to bullcrappery being inflicted. Is acting an ass the best thing to do? No…not at all. But IMO it’s either you’re dumb or crazy. Most know (even if a long long long long time ago) they’ve done something to a woman that left her broken or crazy or both. I just say don’t call a woman crazy when you know in your heart of hearts you had a hand in the matter.

Dating bad girls is one thing…a Long Term Relationship, nahhh. IMHO, a “bad girl” is like a disposable razor, you use it a few times and then you throw it away and buy a new one. Cruel but I think that is more often the reality. Again, there is a major difference between love and sex (to a man at least, a man doesn’t even have to like someone to want to nail them)…and this is the recipe for only half of that equation. (Now that I think about it, some of the ones I wanted to bag the most were ones I almost hated).

@tallmom ~ don’t give up, never give up.. just don’t enable the drug abuse and self mutilation. I worked with a lady once, who’s oldest daughter got hooked on heroin at 16. She had a baby with her “herion” introducer. DFACS took the baby from her and the father’s parent’s raised it for the first 6 years or so. It took multiple stints in rehab and a few years for her to get clean. She is now in college, has another kid with a new man and has custody of her daughter back. You have to find what means the most to her (your daughter) and use that as her motivation to get clean. Just be prepared that it may take a while.

see – exiled. now I gotta be the “crazy” blog chick. dag. but here goes. true story. have an aunt who has been on and off various drugs for decades. she got arrested some years back and another aunt went to clean out her apartment. during the cleaning of the apartment second aunt found a crack pipe and an open bible on the bed. of course, this prompted jokes among family members about which came first – the get high or the redemption. first aunt did 6 months in jail. she went to jail a size 4, came out a size 16. her comment “I’ll never eat peanut butter or oatmeal again”. to co-sign on purple’s theory that it’s always the tiny chicks… this particular aunt is about 4’10” (which is why that 16 didn’t look so hot on her). when I was a child she whooped me, her daughter and another cousin. she was about 7/8 months pregnant at the time and we, of course, tried to outrun the beating. she literally lept over furniture to get at us. another time, a group of us (about 7 cousins or so) were in a fight in the projects (of course) with another group. a guy threw a trash can at us (think Oscar the grouch trash can) and this teeny, tiny aunt turned around in enough time to reach up, catch the trash can and throw it back. no lie – this happened.

I spent a week at home in july and a friend was looking at pics on my phone. she saw one of a male cousin (he was a part of the fight I mentioned previously), asked who he was and pointed out that that was the group that got the club shut down the previous night. apparently they weren’t so bold as to just get high in the club but they were so bold as to put their products on the table and roll and blaze in the club. (I did not go out with that group of cousins the previous night). I was raised in pennsylvania. this particular project fight took place in Cincinnati. disco’s stories remind me of an old joke:

There was a revival going on at this little country church and the preacher was encouraging everyone in the congregation to come forward and cleanse themselves by confessing their sins.

One man comes forward and says, “Lord, please forgive me, I’ve sinned against you. I’ve been stealing eggs from my neighbor’s hen house and blaming the foxes. Forgive me, Lord.”

The congregation shouted, “Amen, brother!” and the preacher exclaimed, “The Lord washes away all sins! Who else will tell all to him?”

A woman comes forward and says, “Lord, please forgive me. I have sinned against you. I have been unfaithful to my husband. Forgive me, Lord.”

The congregation shouted “Amen, sister!” and the preacher bellowed “Halleluyah! Our Lord is a merciful and forgiving Lord! Who else will tell all to him?”

Another man comes forward and says, “Lord, please forgive me. I have sinned against you. Last week I made love to my goat.”

And the preacher said, “Brother, I don’t believe I’d have told that.”

In my younger days, I went through a phase when I myself could be characterized as bad, so I feel like I have some insight into motivation and risk of dating similarly bad girls. On the other hand, dealing with psycho beeyotch bad girls has proven itself as bad juju as far as I’m concerned. I resolved to not be so bad myself, and let the bad girls go make trouble with and for somebody else.

On topic – Bad girls, been there, stayed there, lived that life. I grew up in the game so that was part of the deal that i signed up for. Lucky me I recognized that and moved on but it took quite a few years to grow out of my tendencies so to speak.
As for me, I guess I was a bad guy. I grew up reckless and cold. I’ve done plenty of things to plenty of folks that as i look back on i’m not very proud of. I’m in a much better place now but i fully understand I am upside down on my Karma tab.
As a Father I have a hard time reconciling some things especially with my Son (15) that knows how i use to live back down south. He’s heard the stories and met a few of my old friends but like always its a work in progress.

About a month ago, I was getting into my truck and there was a black fleece pullover on the ground right beside it. I picked it up and threw it in the cargo hold. I forgot it was in there until yesterday morning when I went to the back of the truck to get something out.

Yesterday, TheDude and I were going to run some errands and were going down Ivan Allen/Joseph P. Boone/But is really still Simpson Road. At one of the intersections, there was a chick who was obviously drugged out and “working.” She had on a pair of capri tights, a tank top under a white t-shirt looking top and flip flops. She was freezing and was trying to pull her arms inside of her tank top.

As we pulled through the intersection, I remembered the fleece. TheDude agreed to turn around so we could go back and offer it to her. As we pulled up and held the fleece out the window, she took it, but instead of saying “Thank you,” she asked if we had “a few dollars” so she could get her something to eat.

Needless to say, we did not give her any money.

I thought of PR’s while in the shower and truly burst out laughing.

I avoided crazies or potential ones

If a chic wants marriage bad = crazy(if u negate her plan)

A die hard church chic = crazy, that’s why she there

The quiet chics that don’t talk= crazy, their souls are troubled that’s why they’re quiet

Loud mouths and talkative= Craziest!

I have avoided all these for the most part.

@SexyC ~ I started to post that I have 2 coats in the trunk that I will give to some random homeless dude this winter. I try to get at least 2 away. Started 2 years ago. I thought of this when this drunk elderly woman ran out of gas on Wesley Chapel with a tank top on and shorts. It was freezer but I guess the alcohol kept her wam. I gave her a coat then stopped some drivers to help push her vehicle into a gas station. People at the gas station knew her and called a family member. I didn’t want to call the cops and have this old woman sitting in jail. Apparently, her husband went to jail the night before and she tied one on!!!

Not only do we donate we have new stuff for folks needings sheets, towels, blankets, etc. We have a couple of ladies that sew so if repairs are needed we got that covered as well. I know “sewing” is no longer a big thing but one of those ladies can make a sewing machine dance. She made all of her kids clothes/coates…everything, until they got old enough to dicover the mall.

I’d hate to be on the ground tussling for my purse or something.

I LOVE what my church does. The bus goes to a couple of highrise EVERY Saturday and pick folks up to go grocery shopping. Because they’re aged, they’ll take some of the teenage girls from church (13 – 16) to go along and help them get their groceries or help them write their checks and stuff (ya’ll would be surprised who can’t). We also have folks that visit the sick and leave donations, read and pray with them. We have folks that will go in and clean the homes of the disabled. We also have a rummage sale and folks donate. The proceeds go back in and buy the new sheets and stuff.

There’s much to do.

She got me once by saying whatever it was she told me. I knew she was lying cuz she looked tore up. I gave her a few bucks. I’ve seen her with acebandages on, I’ve seen her with a crutch, I’ve seen her crying, all of which are PROPS. I’m not a hardened person, but I’m hard toward her because this is her regular scam.
